Annual Enrollment Customer Service Associate (Former Employee), Houston, TX – March 27, 2012
Pros: pace, pay, distance, location
Cons: managment, temp job
Burnett Staffing is a job placement company. They were really nice to me and even helped me after I was done with the specific job. The Job they placed me in was as an Annual Enrollment Customer Service Associate for Hewitt and Associates. While I was actually working for Hewitt, the actual management was done by Spherion, and unlike Burnett Staffing, – more... it felt that they left much to be desired. I didn’t feel like a person to the Spherion staff, I was expendable and it was only sheer luck that I stayed on as long as I did. The thing that made me want to hold on to this temp job was the fact that we could have possibly gotten a permanent position with Hewitt and Associates which would mean more job security, (and the possibility of more pay).
I really didn’t get to associate with my co-workers that much. We would chat if there was time between phone calls, or during our lunch break but that was about it. The hardest part of this job was also the most enjoyable. We would often get calls one right after the other and although this made it difficult to pause and catch your breath, it did make the day go by rather quickly. – less
