Description: Medium sized law firm near downtown Dallas seeks conscientious legal assistant who works well in litigation environment, and with others. Applicant must be able to work independently as well as contribute as a team player. This person must maintain client/attorney information confidential, be trustworthy, and reliable. Applicant must possess excellent administrative and writing skills as well as good time management and organizational skills; and the ability to coordinateinformation and schedules. Immediate availability. Paralegal certification preferred but not required. Experience in insurance defense/commercial litigation a plus.
Requirements: Applicant must have proficiency in WordPerfect, Word, and Microsoft Outlook; typing ability of at least 60 wpm, and knowledge of electronic filings. Applicant must possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities: Job duties include preparing drafts of correspondence, memoranda, reports, letters, pleadings, discovery; summarizing depositions, and medical records; preparing litigation reports, trial notebooks, subpoenas, and trial exhibits. Position also involves client communications, maintaining attorneys’ calendars, deadlines, and other trial docket related tasks. Salary commensurate with experience and benefits provided.
