Leader, Long Beach, CA - June 10, 2014
Same business as 2313 Inc. in Michigan, only this was the office located in Long Beach, CA. I typically arrived at the office between 6:45-7:00am to start preparing for my day. As other, less experienced associates arrived I would make sure they were also fully prepared with all necessary paperwork, information, and applications. After preparing for my day as well as others, we would proceed with our morning meetings and warm ups before we all left for the field between 9:30-10:00am. In the field we would meet with our customers with direct marketing angles and provide them with the services we had to offer, depending on which campaign we were currently apart of. We would return to the office generally between 5:00-5:30pm, where we would perform our delegated leader responsibilities for the week. After all responsibilities were finished, we would have a quick wrap up about how the day went from morning until leaving, discuss what we could improve on, and how the newer workers were performing. Once everything was completed we would generally leave the office between 6:00-7:00pm. When working with this company I learned how to manage myself while still helping and managing others. I also learned how to build strong personal relationships with my co-workers in addition to building fast trustworthy relationships with our customers. I also became very comfortable with being uncomfortable, as that is how I feel the best way to grow and learn is. The management of this company was the best I have ever experienced, and I still say that this employer has been an incredible mentor to my own personal growth, he truly cares about the growth and livelihood of his team. I would regularly ask for advice on what I could do to better improve myself around the office which he was always more than happy to give. I would also consistently ask for additional responsibilities, which he was always more than happy to delegate. My coworkers became like family while I worked with this company. All the employees, old and new, are incredibly friendly and outgoing and we all regularly spent time together outside of work and became very good friends. The hardest part of this job was not knowing exactly what to expect on a daily basis when in the field, however, that was also the most enjoyable part of this job.
