I worked here for just under a year and a half. In that time, at least 1/3 of the staff (full-time and part-time) just disappeared. If you asked where someone went, you would get "Oh, they don't work here anymore" or "They are no longer with the organization". Never an explanation of what anyone was doing wrong, just quietly burning through employees in every department. People either left because they were overworked and underpaid, or they were fired.
The facility and volunteers are fantastic- definitely go to visit! The behind the scenes working of the micromanaging executive staff and the ineffective HR team- not so much. I am glad that I had a great manager who took a chance on me when I first started there, but after they left, it was a nightmare.
In the event you do enjoy being micromanaged, you still have to wait a year as a full-time employee before you are eligible to take any PTO.
Great facility, educational opportunities
Micromanaging, no opportunities for advancement
