A great place to start a career
Director of Marketing (Former Employee), Syracuse, NY – April 30, 2013
As my first real job out of college, this place was great. It offered a lot of enrichment and experience for me. I enjoyed the job and it was a place I looked forward to going every day!

Decent place to work if you need a job
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Seneca Falls, NY – April 3, 2013
Pros: one on one customer interaction
Cons: one person per shift. no scheduled breaks
The store was small, over staffed, and 18 hours a day to share between all employees. Shifts ranged from 2 hours to over 10 hours a day. I learned how to close a store properly. Management was what can only be called far from being fair. Giving already arranged days off to other co-workers with children. Co-workers fought over hours, and took advantage – more... of others when they didn't want to work. Hardest part of the job was that I worked alone and even on busy nights, got no help. The most enjoyable part of this job, was that the interaction, and relationships I gained with the customers. I will miss them. – less

Difficult Company to work for
Store Manager (Former Employee), multiple locations during my time there. – February 1, 2013
Pros: its a job. . . . hey its better than being unemployed. they do have great dairy products
Cons: just about everything working for them.
Byrne Dairy is a very hard company to work for in any store location aspect. Very little compensation, managers are required to drive to their home office location every month and do so on their own time and do not get paid for their travel, policies change all the time when ever their upper management thinks they have come up with a good idea, Managers – more... almost never get a break and can forget about having any kind of home life because they don't pay well enough to get competent employees in their stores so the phone never stops ringing for help, extremely high turn over rate, job security is a joke and their training program is as well so be ready to teach yourself everything you need to know, and if you don't catch on fast enough then bye bye there's always someone else waiting to catch the peanuts they throw your way. – less

Hard work but great pay.
Class A delivery driver (Current Employee), Syracuse, NY – January 10, 2013
Pros: good pay and benefits.
Cons: everything you touch is heavy all day.
I'm a delivery driver for Byrne Dairy. I drove OTR for a while so its nice to see my family again. They started me off with excellent pay and benefits. You will be worked hard, but you get paid well.

Byrne Dairy is a fair and solid company to work for.

P.S. they treat the drivers better than store level idiots.

Don't do it!
Accounting (Former Employee), Weedsport, NY – January 10, 2013
Pros: can't think of one
Cons: work environment, hours, management, lack of training.
I would not advise anyone to consider an employment opportunity with this company. I worked there in an accounting function for about three months. Terrible work environment, little to no training, excessive work hour expectations.

The owner is abusive to his employees and turnover is attrocious
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Skaneateles, NY – November 7, 2012
If your an assistant manager or manager for these guys you don't actually manage you take blame. They tell you what to do at the top, yell at you, tie your hands and then watch you slowly sink till you quit or they fire you.

Good pay lousy environment
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Skaneateles, NY – November 5, 2012
Pros: pay
Cons: the owner
Regardless of whether you do your job or not if the ownership doesn't like you ad you aren't buddy buddy with them you are not long for employment, If they keep you more than a few years its to say they have people employed that long.

Pros: i worked 70 hrs/week

Company employs many excellant workers. I enjoyed my job and the responsibilities I was charged with.
Territory Manager (Former Employee), Newburgh, NY – December 12, 2011
Pros: many dedicated and skilled employees.
Cons: poor allocation of labor at times, including management.
Privately owned company that paid reasonably well. Currently going through change of focus which has caused them to contract operations in some areas.
