Hostile Work Environment
Packaging operator trainee (Former Employee), Cortland, NYAugust 23, 2014
Cons: hostile work environment
Getting screamed at for asking when lunch break was. So worked for 9 hours with only a 15 minute break and was fired at the end of the day with no reason. Guessing it was because I asked about lunch.

Job Description
Delivery Driver (Former Employee), Watertown, NYJuly 15, 2014
Pros: customers, pay, benefits, and traveling
Cons: the hours
Typical day at work I would receive orders, load product and deliver. Co-workers were very patient and helpful in the learning process. The hardest part of the job would have been the hours. Enjoyable part was meeting new people and traveling. I learned new areas and new travel routes/shortcuts.

Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Syracuse, NYJuly 6, 2014
I worked about 80 hours a week. Many times of the week I would be the only one working and would have to make sure all shelves were stocked.

Customer Service (Former Employee), Syracuse, NYJune 29, 2014
Pros: free milk
Cons: management are hypocrits
In my short time there I noticed a great deal of "who can do what to benefit me". There is no 24hr notice for overtime and a lack of enthusiasm. The co-workers are fun. As with most companies you have people in management that shouldn't be and people not in management that should be.

Dairy Plant
Filler Operator (Current Employee), Syracuse, NYJune 19, 2014
Pros: overtime
Cons: benefits
Day starts at 7 am. The production schedule changes daily sometimes even hourly. I have learned the pasteurization process of dairy products, learned how to effectively manage a production floor and customers orders. Works with a wide range different people. Hardest part of the job is being able to support my family and spend time with them. The most – more... enjoyable part of my job is when my schedule stays the same. it's changing by the day – less

Customer service (Former Employee), Waterloo, NYJune 16, 2014
well I have worked there for over a year and in that time I noticed that while the old store manager was there it was a great place to work and after his departure the store gradually started its decline to what it is today with the "friends scheme " meaning if you are not friends with the manager then you do not get hours.

Work here if you like stress, long hours, and working your tail off
Cooler Warehouse (Former Employee), Syracuse, nyMay 2, 2014
Was a great place to learn because the place was so understaffed and management was a joke. Upper management had no clue of what was needed in order to run a warehouse and company used second hand equipment which in some cases was dangerous. The only pro to the job was somewhat decent pay and all the overtime you could handle, mostly becoming mandatory – more... during holidays. Don't expect holidays. Even if you do, you don't know till the day before. – less

A good starter job
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Liverpool, NYApril 18, 2014
In my personal experience, A typical day of work was far too long when I started because we were severely understaffed. Employee turnover was fairly rapid, I watched a lot of people come and go. It taught me how to manage my time with school and taught me how to become a leader in a place where the lines could be blurred as far as management and friendship – more... goes. However, working 10-12 hours in some days with no breaks was certainly less than desirable. While I understand I was only a seasonal worker, upward advancement seemed impossible especially seeing that I received 1 raise for 4 years of praised service. – less

Cons: not enough employees and too many work hours
I enjoyed working at Byrne Dairy and got along with most of the people I worked with but there were a couple of people I did not get along with very well, but we left our problems outside of work and it was not a problem while we were working together

Walmart Sales Associate
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Norwich, NYJanuary 2, 2014
One day at work I learned how to stock and zoned shelves. I learned how to properly put items on the shelf and organize the shelf. The management was very helpful. I got along with every co- worker that was working there, and they also taught me how to do my job. The hardest part of my job was learning where the item was located. The most enjoyable – more... part of my job was helping the customers find what they needed. – less
