The worst job
Billingual Collection Specialist (Current Employee) –  Richmond, VAMay 15, 2017
The typical work flow was a rush doing my job and any body else the called in absent or was on vacation. No help from management what so ever No family time they offer me a job to work every other Saturday but the had me working every Saturday. They claimed it was a mistake done. The will change the schedule overnight and you will find out until next morning on a email.Good luck with pick up your kids from daycare or if the school nurse call you because your child is sick. You will be asked to choice between your job and your child. The must enjoyable part was the training but that only last two weeks.

Confusing

I worked here for 4 months, the training was very confusing. As well as when I had a family emergency the way I was treated I decided to leave the company. I was suppose to work approximately 45 hours no more than 2 weeks out the month. Which included 1-2 late nights a week if I had work to that was incomplete and 1 maybe the occasional 2 weekends a month. I ended up being schedule for 50 hours 3 weeks and 45 the other week. I still had to get to work 45mins to 30 mins early which I was not paid for to not get reprimanded for not keeping up with the excessive amount of tedious work. The department could have been ran more efficiently.
Pros
the pay and being located downtown which they paid for parking.
Cons
family balance and management

Excellent place to work
Hourly employee (Current Employee) –  Richmond, VANovember 23, 2015
I have been fortunate to join this amazing company. They are so nice for a not so nice type of work (collecting debt). Times are hard for everyone nowadays and they try to balance our personal stuff-things with getting the job done. I like the flexibility of late shifts so can take care of my mom. Pay is decent and benefits are affordable. My co-workers are the best and I'm the luckiest to have them in my life. Training is constant as the law keeps changing. The supervisors are nice, at times rigid and others so overwhelmed (like chickens running around). Compared to other places I've worked they are WAY okay for me. Lots of fun activities all the time and boy they like to eat. I have been here for less than a year and I see a future to either grow personally or within my department. Will recommend C&F to anyone.
Pros
Jeans day, summer picnic, softball game, thanksgiving luncheon, my teammates.
Cons
Just be ready to work your tail off like no other place you have been, Just breath and live on. Pay could be higher.

C&f
Loan Processor/Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Richmond, VAJanuary 27, 2015
C&F has lots of diversity. Not a lot of room to grow in certain departments but you can transfer to other departments after a year of being employed with them if you choose to. Human resources is very supportive. I do feel there needs to be more flexibility and understanding for parents/and single parents. I love all the people I wok with.
