Loyal to employees, good benefits and compensation, poor leave time
Senior Acquisition Analyst (Former Employee), N/A –
Pros: worldwide career opportunities, good benefits, community conscious.
Cons: leave accumulation
CACI (I did not work in corporate) makes every attempt to find employees new work once a contract ends. They pay well depending on the Government contract negotiated. Benefits are on par with most other companies. However, although they seek highly qualified and experienced people, they start EVERYONE out at the minimum leave per pay period, regardless – more...  of how much experience you have. I was retired Government and hired to support a Government office and they would not negotiate my leave hours. I started at the same leave level that I got when I entered Gov't service 32 years before. – less

working with lower ranking military personel
LAN/WAN Engineer-Help Desk Technician (Former Employee), Camp Victory Irag –
Pros: good benifits
Cons: management
I had some issues working with lower enlisted personel of my own career field when I servered in the military. I was working in my field and location only this time I was the civilian. I caught the bad end of the stick with military computer specialist who found out that I was an E-9 when I was in the Army. Professional Jealousy

Management was from Distance
Technical Writer II (Former Employee), Fort Rucker, AL –
Pros: working with the military and government personnel, working with air traffic control equipment.
Cons: supervision, company support.
I enjoyed working for the company but was a little disappointed in some of their clearing in policies. I had to complete my entrance paperwork a number of times before it was legal. A typical dsay at work involved constructing Technical Bulletins for Fort Rucker Air Traffic Control Services Command (ATSCOM). My co-workers were average technical writers – more...  and illustrator personnel. The hardest part of the job was getting the required information to insert into the manuals. I did enjoy working with the Fort Rucker Army and Government personnel. The most enjoyable part of the job was the social atmosphere with the military and civilian Fort Rucker personnel. – less

Wonderful managers
Proprietary Systems Specialist 1 (Current Employee), Montgomery, AL –
Pros: corp atmosphere at corp office
Cons: other contractors in co-project
My current manager is a wonderfully sweet person who makes you feel welcome to stop if you need something. She has your back and is very into communicating issues as they arrive, not waiting for them to explode. I stepped out of my career field with this job and due to CACI's management, hit the deck running, never feeling like I faltered.

General Clerk IV (Former Employee), Herndon, VA –
Pros: great co workers, seasonal lunches
Cons: career advancement, pay
I loved my co workers. It was a fun work atmosphere.

There was little to no career advancement within the contract. Even after applying internally, I heard nothing back.

A great place to work and still use some of your military skills.
Logistic Engineer (Current Employee), Norfolk, Virginia –
I can't say enough about this company, one of the better companies anyone can work for, hours can be work around your schedule; the tools that are used on the job can also be used at home to complete any task that is required in the office. The management staff has your best interest at hand and always put you in a position to be successful. A typical – more...  day for anyone is making sure that all maintenance changes are inputted into a central data base that all navy ships have access to for changes that was submitted by ship engineers.

The best part of the jobs is my co-workers, they just make coming to work fun and all are willing to help in any way possible to get the job done. – less

Great Project to work
Business Analyst (Former Employee), Chesapeake, VA –
Pros: networking opportunities
Cons: project length
A typical day while working the SSB project consisted of business analyst gathering requirements from stakeholders and designing a proposed workflow. On a daily basis, we will present workflows to project shareholders for analysis and acceptance. While working this project, I've gained valuable experience in learning the use of BPMN im mapping our processes. – more...  Management provided valuable training and insight to ensure all associates had the necessary tools to complete their portions of the project. My co-workers were great and very helpful resources when issues were encountered during the project. The most enjoyable part of the project was the relax work atmosphere. – less

Extreme travel
Functional Analyst (Former Employee), San Diego, CA –
Pros: the pay was nice
Cons: not paid unless on site, 100% travel, management is difficult to work with.
The job posting said up to 75% travel, the travel is actually 100%. When your not out on a job site, you are not being paid. CACI does not offer any type of work while not on site, your just simple on unpaid leave, unless you have the vacation time built up you can use that. Just hope you don't want to actually take a vacation.

Technical Writer II (Current Employee), Aberdeen, MD –
Pros: buisness socials
Cons: contracting type positions, thus stability is not guaranteed
I have worked for CACI over a year and have thoroughly enjoyed being with the company. Besides being contract work, I would prefer to work here than any other job I've held in the past.

Instructor/Improvised Explosive Devices (Former Employee), Fort Benning, GA –
A typical day at work included training replacement Soldiers in IED awareness and marksmanship skills with the M9/M16A2 service weapons. The management team is great, providing the necessary tools in order to get the job done. Everyday is a learning experience--the feedback that we receive about new and on-going threats about Global terroism. We have – more...  a great team, which share their individual knowledge with each other. The job is fun and interesting. – less
