The Sales Associate will provide support for our Business Development team. As an introductory role you will be challenged with pipeline building activities, sales processes and be educated on the core products CADD Edge represents. During the first year, the pipeline activities will include Cold Calling, Lead tracking, Lead Qualifying, Estimating and attaining required Sales Certifications. As your skills set and knowledge grow you will have the opportunity to earn a Sales Territory. Once you’ve earned the Territory you will be responsible for Managing and maintaining a sales quota for SolidWorks 3D CAD, Objet 3D Printers and other ancillary products. The role will report to an established and successful Business Development Manager who will act as both a Manager and Mentor aiding in your successful introduction to outside sales.
Primary and Essential Accountabilities
Call on and identify new Prospects and Suspects
Engage with existing Customers to determine additional needs.
Schedule appointments for qualified opportunities
Plan, organize and maintain your daily workflow
Prepare and track a working Forecast utilizing NetSuite CRM.
Document and daily activities within NetSuite CRM, including call notes, scheduled appointments, etc
Work with and engage with Marketing to promote ongoing Seminars, Webinars and Campaign activities.
Establish and determine minimum personal requirements to reach your business objectives
Engage and work with the Business Development team to build their pipeline and respond to activity requests
Attend Sales Presentations with Business Development staff.
Learn and understand product positioning
Attain SolidWorks Certified Sales status [required prior to being given a territory]
Understand and be capable of presenting our Value Proposition in the form of a PowerPoint presentation
Work with existing Inside Sales staff on effective call habits, scripts and setting realistic daily goals.
Present weekly activity reviews to Mentors and Sales management.
0-2 years experience in sales
BS/BA in Business or Engineering
Ability to multitask
Capable of Public speaking
Proven ability to work within a faced paced technology environment
Not afraid to fail or succeed
Must be energetic with a Go-Getter attitude
Be capable of demonstrating general computer skills and writing ability
Some knowledge of the Engineering and Manufacturing market is preferred
Effective communicator with good listening skills
Ability to present in a professional and polite manner
