QA Analyst (Current Employee) –  Charlottesville, VAMarch 26, 2017
This non-profit organization is a good place to work but the benefits are the best of any place that I've ever worked. The workplace culture is good. Each workday is different so you won't get bored.

Content Coordinator / Executive Assistant (Current Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 8, 2017
Great work environment, no micro management and great management skills. The work day always goes by quickly because there is always work to do. You can also work with different groups and learn from them and there is always opportunity for growth.

This was very productive
Equity Research Analyst (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CAJanuary 23, 2017
This was actually not a real job experience. It was only a competition created by CFA Institute but since I had learned so much knowledge and experiences about financial modeling and equity analysis thanks to this challenge, I put this as one of my value work experiences.

High Turnover
Social Media Coordinator (Current Employee) –  New York, NYDecember 18, 2016
There has been much turnover in the past few years and the new management that is in place either has no idea of the industry, work, or how to be successful managers, which is creating even more turnover.
Pros
Good Benefits
Cons
Lots of travel

Good place to work
Travel and Events Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Charlottesville, VANovember 14, 2016
The department I had the pleasure of working in was wonderful.
Being the new person did not feel so bad as everyone was inviting, helpful and available to assist you in whatever you needed. This department exemplified team work to the highest.
Pros
Good place to work and build experience
Cons
They have a hiring freeze and you probably wont get hired unless it is a pertinent position.

CFA Institute is a great place to work. The people who work there are always very friendly and willing to help out and the perks of working for a company of that size are awesome.

Terrible place to work if you have a brain.
IT worker (Former Employee) –  CharlottesvilleJune 6, 2014
My four months there was a torment. Partially due to a manager who didn't manage and partially due to an employee who was supposed to train me who refused to do her job.

As a whole, they seem to expect robots who simply follow directions - extremely rigid and just plain bizarre in what they seem to expect as behavior.

Years later, I can tell you that I've watched hiring there and talked to many who've been spit out - they churn employees and have a bad reputation here in Charlottesville.

Need to Hide this info (Current Employee) –  Charlottesville, VAJune 14, 2012
I wouldn't recommend working here unless you have a sheep-like mentality. Subordinates blindly follow management with little concern about actually being innovative and progressive. I have been there only a few months and can't wait to leave....even for a job at Walmart.
Pros
great cafateria, summer hours
Cons
management, structure, willingness to accept new ideas
