Pros: residents

The job is ok and its rewarding to be able to upt a smile on someones face. The coworkers help very little which make the job difficult. The hardest part of the job is when some one passes away.

Great experience with great people
Certified Nurse Assistant (Former Employee), Danvers, MA –
I just love being a CNA, my typical day at work used to be very interesting each day. I love to see smile in peoples face, and I feel so blessed in having the opportunity to help someone whom really needs it . I have learned at lot with my patients, learned how to be a better person and gained professional experience including with my co-workers that – more...  they are essentials in this career especially when we are having at hard time at work. The most enjoyable part of the job is the residents, they are really cute and funny. I seriously crack up laughing several times a day.
You stay busy all day so there's no time for boredom and your shift seems to fly by.
You get physically stronger.
I get a lot of personal satisfaction knowing that I'm efficient and hardworking. I like the teamwork aspect. Every now and then you get to do something special for one of the residents and they love you for it. – less

CNA/LPN (Former Employee), Hampton, VA –
A very busy day. I learned many tasks on a daily basis. The management team was very reliable and fair. Co-workers were team players. the hardest part of the job was not be able to complete everyday at a 100%. The most important part of the job was making the patients safe, happy, and comfortable.

Good company Bad management
Analyst (Current Employee), Chicago, IL –
Pros: close to trains, compensation
Cons: culture, management, everything else.
Good pay for the work. Everything else is below par. Staffers are more qualified that management. Once you are in you realize why they pay so much for working there. Best for people trying to work while in school or right out of college.

Bad management
Analyst (Current Employee), chicago –
Pros: average pay, close to train
Cons: management, cube farm, data entry, hard to find a job after this place.
The management here sucks. The pay is decent for being data entry. In comparison to any other job of similar function the compensation is the same.

good pay, bad culture
underwriter (Former Employee), texas –
Pros: pay, benefits
Cons: high turnover, unrealistic goals
[underwriting] Very high employee turnover, especially with management. Premium goals are often unrealistic and if you hit them they will get even more unrealistic the next year. If you don't hit your goals, you could be looking to find a new job very quickly.

From my experience, too much was expected if you wish to have a work/ life balance and the – more...  culture produced management that only cared about new business/ short term results.

Internally and in the marketplace CNA is known to change their direction very quickly. – less

Employees are fun to work with and always helping other ti get the job done. and residents always keep laughing or have a smile on ur face .
Exton Senior Living (Current Employee), 600 North posstown Pike Exton,Pa –
Pros: havinng fun with the residents, and doing my job.
Cons: dealing with the different attitudes, and other things.
A typical day at work start off with making rounds and getting the reidents down for dinner that are in the wheel chairs on 2nd shift. Once that is completed I go around to do reminders to let the residents know that its time for dinner or ask them are they comming down for dinner. At this time its 4:30 pm and staff walks them in the dining room and – more...  have them seated. After residents are finish eating most of them are ready to go to bed or to get in their pajamas. Its usually three staff one for each floor each co-worker trys to help the other to make the work easier. I think the hardest part of the job isnt taking of the residents but dealing with the different attitudes within the work place. The most enjoyable part of my job is interact with the resident and taking care of them. They always find some way to make me laugh forget that this actually a job. – less
