Information Technology Security Analyst
Location: Newark, Delaware and/or Washington DC.
Sr. IT Security Analyst, contract to hire position possibility through structured interview process.
Required Experience: Information Technology Security Analyst
-Experience demonstrating skill monitoring security threats, analyzing vulnerability assessments, and balancing security with business rules/needs.
-Experience demonstrating skill working with other IT professionals to resolve fast moving vulnerabilities such as spam, virus, spyware and internet filtering.
-Experience demonstrating skill ensuring that IT security best practices and configurations are included in desktop, server, and network configurations.
-Experience demonstrating skill auditing or monitoring routers, firewalls and DMZ services to ensure the proper security configuration is being used.
-Experience demonstrating skill defining and enforcing internet and application use policies.
-Experience working with the following tools or tools similar in function and purpose:
o SEIM (Arcsight, Logger)
o IDS (Dragon, Cascade, Cisco’s Network Control System along with Spectrum)
o Vulnerability Scanning (Qualys, AppScan)
o Phishing Awareness (Wombat)
o Cloud based filtering (ZScalar, ProofPoint)
o Symantec Endpoint Protection and Device Control Management
o APT Solutions (Maidiant)
o DLP Solutions
-Experience demonstrating skill ensuring enterprise server/network contingency plans are followed.
-Experience demonstrating skill applying knowledge of:
o directory services and file access technologies; and,
o data network, operating system, database and application security.
-Experience demonstrating skill interfacing with vendors and IT professionals, in the context of applications and network services, to design appropriate security and audit compliance.
-Experience demonstrating skill documenting status reports, plans, policies, procedures and/or presentations.
-Experience creating, supporting and reporting on SOX, NERC and other compliance processes to management and auditors.
-Experience demonstrating skill assisting with security-related IT projects using project management and software tools.
