Perform daily and monthly cash and position reconciliations.
Post transactions and prices into proprietary portfolio accounting software system.
Reconcile monthly net asset value calculations.
Assist in reviewing and reconciling month-end statements and annual financial statements.
Input journal entries and transactions in QuickBooks.
Calculate monthly intercompany transfers and expenses.
Produce and send monthly customer invoices.
Review and pay vendor invoices.
Create and approve wires to settle transactions.
Sort and classifying documents and data in accordance with established guidelines.
Support the integration of new clients and funds.
Respond to request for information from third parties including regulators, auditors, and clients.
Participate in ad-hoc projects to improve procedures and systems.
Bachelors degree in finance (with coursework in accounting) or accounting.
Accounting experience preferred.
Working knowledge of accounting of various securities including equities, fixed-income instruments, currencies (spots, forwards and NDF's), futures, OTC Options, derivatives, interest rate swaps, and credit default swaps.
Understanding of NAV calculations, balance sheets, and income statements.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Accounting software experience (especially QuickBooks) highly desirable.
