Every morning I would get up 6AM and wait for a phone call. As soon as I received the call, I would show up and listen for my instructions. Sometimes I took care of the trash and maintaining the cleanliness of the work areas; sometimes I was assigned as a box runner, I would fold and/or deliver already folded boxers to the correct lines; Then lastly they would assign me as a palletizer, where I would be placed at one of the production lines and stack pallets with already filled and taped boxes, wrap the pallets, fill out the inventory and data log, and label the pallets so they can be shipped.
I have learned to observe, learn and work at a fast pace. I was able to adjust to the temperatures, noise level, as well as the different positions I have been assigned. I was surrounded my friendly and very helpful co-workers, who never hesitated to answer my questions.
The hardest yet most enjoyable part about the job was definitely working at such a fast pace and having to learn so much in a limited amount of time. Every day was a rush for me, but it made the days go by quick and I always learned something new about the equipment and machinery at Cacique, Inc.
