Seeking a media buyer/sponsorship coordinator to develop and execute media plans and build sponsorship relationships in multiple markets. Individual will evaluate, negotiate and purchase media; develop campaign analysis, optimize processes, recommend strategic and tactical changes to maximize campaign performance and negotiate added value promotions and sponsorship. Individual will leverage media spending to secure sponsors for various programs and oversee trade agreements. Individual will further develop existing sponsor relations and maximize their potential. The individual will also manage accounts payable, trafficking and data analysis as part of media management. This includes ensuring accuracy between buys and invoices and following up for make-goods, developing sponsorship leads and tracking sponsorship sales efforts, market research, keeping up with industry trends, negotiations, creating and submitting RFPs, creating and evaluating proposals, coordinating campaign production, proofing/writing copy, communicating with account representatives, developing new relationships as well as managing current relationships, and creating new opportunities for partners. Individual will research sponsorship opportunities nationally, regionally and locally. Seek and submit grant applications for advertising match programs. Must be willing to travel and work evenings or weekends to visit field locations, and assist with events, especially during the months of November and December. Must be detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communications skills. Individual will handle a variety of day to day tasks for an in-house agency as assigned.
At least 2 years media buying or planning experience on multiple mediums, including radio, television, digital, outdoor and print. Preferably in a corporate environment.
Exceptional computer, technical and accounting skills.
Experience in negotiating rates and added value.
Experience with sponsorship sales.
1-3 years management experience.
Team player and works well with others.
4 year degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Business Administration.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must have working knowledge of Arbitron Smartplus media buying software; however, other software knowledge such as Strata is acceptable.
Experience with SharePoint a plus
Works well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks while paying close attention to detail.
