Lead Preschool Teacher for French Immersion Program
The Cambridge-Ellis School, Cambridge, MA has a language teaching position available for the 2013-14 school year. We are looking for an experienced early childhood educator who is also a native French speaker for our afternoon language immersion program.
The position in the French immersion program is a lead teacher position and requires additional responsibilities, such as parent communication, writing of progress reports, curriculum planning, and creating end-of-year portfolios.
This classroom has two teachers and 12 children between the ages of 2.9 - 6 years. We plan emergent, project-based curriculum in a play based language immersion program. The hours are Mo-Fr from 2:30-6:00 pm. DEEC preschool teacher certification required; BA in early education or related field preferred.
CES is a non-profit, NAEYC accredited school serving children ages 2-5 years. We provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Our unique language program offers immersion classes in Chinese Mandarin, French, Spanish, or English for preschoolers.
We are located in the heart of Cambridge, in a school filled with light-infused classrooms, a large indoor common space, and two beautiful outdoor playgrounds.
