EDI Coordinator, Huntington Beach, CA - November 30, 2015
Cambro is an industry leader for plastics/food service. Management in the Customer Service department was poor at Cambro and consequently this department sets the tone for the business. Upper Management is aware of the problem but slow to fix. Gathering much needed information from this department was a challenge but not impossible. This would turn out to be the hardest part of my job as I was directly responsible for documenting ALL processes and procedures from the CS accounts to upgrade to EDI Processes. There was no growth in this EDI Coordinator position at Cambro with limited access to new projects. I enjoyed documenting and implementing the procedures that I put in place. I was in complete control of the inbound EDI workbook and processed all the documents which I enjoyed as well. There were many strange anomalies to account for in some customers orders. This was a challenge to move EDI orders through the antiquated computer system at Cambro. Day to day process could be challenging at times. The EDI group worked very close with the Order Entry group on a daily basis.
