Quality Specialist (Former Employee) – Saskatoon, SK – February 27, 2014
Too much management with the wrong focus to improve. Accountability does not meet responsibility. Impossible to make effective improvements due to the fact that too many people have authority over initiatives.
Production worker (Former Employee) – Columbus, NE – October 12, 2015
work is hard and fast pace, work enviroment becomes overly hot during summer months, management is ok overall job isn't dificult just physically demanding pay and benefits are decent, most enjoyable part of the job was seeing all the different parts being made and assemble by different robots and machines...hard work is noticed and rewarded accordingly
Fitter/Welder (Former Employee) – Thibodaux, LA – October 14, 2014
My typical day at work was extremely busy ,very fast paced ,very hot .I learned a lot there ,welding /fitting ,paint processes, assembly line work ,fork lift operation ,etc...The management leaves something to be desired .My co-workers were nice at times. The hardest part of my job was watching people work well ,consistently ,safely meeting all expectations be denied pay and positions they earned ,
I have enjoyed my position at Cameco and the best part, I have made some wonderful friends. I have not only learned about the mining business but how an organization becomes successful. I love my job and look forward to my day to day tasks.
