Android / Camryn industries is an automotive manufacturing plant, linked to fiat-chrysler. Typical day starts by me being sent where-ever needed, as I am a versatile employee and we never seem to have the amount of employees we should have. My department deals with making sure we get supply in and keeping the assembly lines fed with sub-assembly parts.
I've learned a lot working at this factory, How to drive a forklift. That I am not the type of person who can handle manual labor of this sort. That I would prefer a career that has a more professional atmosphere and allows me to have a more functional life outside of work.
Despite a union existing, management still finds ways to have favoritism and inconsistency.
Hardest part about the job is working nights, working in an unprofessional environment, and the physical labor.
My co-workers are a mixture. Some are slackers, some do their job to the full extent, but few care to excel at their jobs. I feel working in a union facility encourages mediocrity. There is a lack of "team" mentality.
