Fun workplace great work environment
chariot elevateur (Former Employee), Montreal –
Pros: great benefits
Cons: heavy lifting, hot warehouse dusty
I enjoyed working there, it was fun but at times very physically demanding and hot. I learned how to drive the fork lift and how to pick product. Management had some issues but overall we had a great group of individuals. The hardest part was dealing with the dust in the warehouse, the best were the benefits

LOGISTICS TRAINER (Contract) (Current Employee), Toronto, ON –
Very slow to change but has a good support system. I was responsible for training SCA's and it was an excellent job, if not a bit frustrating as senior management was very checked out.

Motor Vehicle Mechanic (Former Employee), Surcee Trail in Calgary Alberta –
Pros: no benefits onle bonus they did not mean anything
Cons: very long hours to make ends meet
Starting in the morning with a job flat rate or just washing the tools or the floorwaiting for customers.Usually i will get a job by9.30am.Sometimes had to for a long coffe time upstares when quite. But anyway that was life. When we were busy was go,go
all day.Parts supply was good if we did not have it was orderes inmediately.Thare were a good social – more...  life but allways keeping a big distance management and employees.Which was wrong.Ans if they
saw you were smart at the first oportunity they will fire you which
happened to me.The manager at the time told me there were running
slow and had to let me go.Mind you no warning whatsoever.Very unfair.man maybe he was trained to be.
Today I will like to get a job back but they havent say a word. – less

Enjoyable Work Place
Parts Counter Sales (Current Employee), Nanaimo, BC –
Pros: pleasant co-workers, organized retail floor, customer service is priority, benefits full time only, profit sharing full time only
Cons: one coffee break, 4+ hours first break, standing along day, managers don't communicate well between themselves, 4 hour shifts no breaks, dis-organized warehouse
Co-workers are great to work with. Staff generally pleasant to customers and other staff members. Deepened my ability to deal with rude customers that do not understand that you are already dealing with a customer before them. The toughest thing about working here is standing for the full shift. Hard on the back and knees.

its just a place to work
cashier (Current Employee), miramichi,nb –
Pros: vacation pay
Cons: the hours, (bad throughout the year except in the summer)
my typical day at work would be i go in at 5 on week days and just be friendly with the customers and ring through their items, count my cash at the end of my shift. i haven't really learned very much working there. the floor managers are great, but the general manager is not someone who is easy to talk to, she is a workaholic and believes students – more...  should be on call for whenever they are needed and shouldn't have a life outside of work and when asking for time off you are normally freaked out at and your schedule suffers greatly to either no shifts at all or only one a week, and this can go one for weeks and even a month. My co-workers are great, i'm friends with everyone that works inside the store young and old, other then the garage staff because i never deal with them. the hardest part of my job is tip toeing around my manager, the most enjoyable part of my job is helping the people that walk in and out of the doors every day. – less
