The Capistrano Unified School District serves approximately 51,000 students in south Orange County and is one of the fastest growing school districts in the state of California . CUSD currently boasts 33 schools recognized as "California Distinguished Schools" and 11 schools recognized as "National Blue Ribbon Schools."
The mission of the CUSD Foundation is to develop a broad-based partnership to enhance the effectiveness of the Capistrano Unified School system by linking the talents, energy and resources of education, business and community for the benefit of all Capistrano Unified School District students.
Over the past thirteen years the Foundation has raised nearly $1,000,000 for CUSD students, teachers and schools. Our volunteer-based, non-profit educational partnership raises funds through a variety of programs and fundraising events throughout the year. The CUSD Foundation also holds numerous endowments generously donated to the Foundation from individuals and businesses.
The Foundation is also a member agency of the Orange County's United Way, designation #CAP303.
