Bank Teller (Former Employee), Bell, FLDecember 18, 2013
Pros: hour lunch
Open, processor night drops, take care of drive thru clients. Walk in client as well and on Thursdays and Fridays are the heavy days which we would be very busy for several hours at a time. Late in the day start balancing and closing the branch.
The scarcest is knowing you are dealing with someone else's money so you better not mess up.
The hardest – more... part of my job at that point was handling ATM and Vault drawer as well as my own drawer. Several people were on vacation and things needed to get covered. That was be the hardest since I was only there a short period and had never worked at a bank before. The enjoyable part was the challenges. I am able to learn and grow and have a good support team that would let me do that. – less

Fun and Compassionate Work Environment
Teller I (Current Employee), West Point, GADecember 13, 2013
Pros: sometimes we got free lunches, opportunities to advance in the workplace, fair and safe work environment
Cons: no cons, really
Probably my most favorite job that I've worked at so far. We would come in, have coffee together for a little bit and talk. Then we would start our day. Management was always fair. The job taught me a lot about team work and prioritizing your job responsibilities at work. The co-workers were always very respectful. We would even do little get-togethers – more... sometimes after work for dinners or whatever else. – less

You come in and do your normal teller procedures.
I learned to be a better person and how to deal with difficult clients.
The management doesn't seem to care at times.
All of the associates are nice.
Nothing is hard and I enjoy everything about my job.

Cross Trained Lead Teller (Former Employee), Gainesville, FLMay 2, 2013
Pros: some of the people are great to work with
Cons: everything else
Management has no clue what goes on inside an office and their policies reflect this in spades. Jobs are not secure, and the financial strength is poor, regardless of what they may say; for example they stopped sending out dividend checks.

Teller (Current Employee), Topeka WanamakerJanuary 13, 2013
Pros: being off early every day. free checks for being an employee. good heath care.
Cons: no lunch break, being up so early, people can be tough on you since you're dealing with their money, working saturday.
I am still here and I plan to stay, I just need a second job. I open the branch at 6:45 in the morning and get off at 1 in the afternoon. I love all my coworkers and manager. I have learned the in and outs of banking and I am more educated on fraud. I have improved my money counting skills and other general math skills, including balancing my drawer, – more... vault and coin machine. The hardest part of my job is learning all the higher things that come with working in a bank besides being a teller. I don't have a complete understanding of other issues in the banking world, so I feel bad not being able to answer customers questions and I direct them straight to my manager or a personal banker. It's also hard because those issues are not things that the bank takes extra time to teach tellers as much as they should. We also are open from 9-4 on Saturdays, so working every other Saturday after a long week isn't fun, but it's more money! I love my customers at the bank. They are the reason I look forward to going to work every day. I love being in customer service. – less

Great place to start a worthwhile career, especially for a young person
Bank Teller (Former Employee), Dublin, GAJuly 23, 2012
Pros: customer service was valued; management always took the high road
Cons: more experienced women can sometimes be impatient with rookies.
I would recommend CCBG to anyone wanting to start a career in banking or finance. Salary wasn't bad and of course, you can't beat bankers' hours...no weekends or holidays to work. I loved waiting on the clients, especially the elderly and slower ones that needed extra time and help.
