CHM is an entrepreneurial and dynamic firm offering an exciting opportunity and immediate opening for an Associate to join our team, supporting internal operations and client communications, to join our team.
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the reporting function, including preparing reports and supporting financial models and data, as well as developing new internal and external related tools and reports. In addition, the Associate will support the asset management and hotel acquisitions team by performing periodic analyses related to hotel operations, conduct market research and create professional presentations and other communications pieces.
*Ensuring that client deliverables are produced on time and error-free.
*Populating recurring reports with monthly/quarterly/annual data.
*Coordinating information flow and maintaining data in an organized format (electronically & hard files as appropriate).
*Continually seeking opportunities to improve the overall process through automation of data, formatting, streamlining, etc.
*Developing additional reports to meet internal or client requests.
*Designing data presentation pieces such as graphs, take away pieces for client meetings, presentations for specific projects or in support of new business initiatives to support the asset management and portfolio project teams.
*Developing and delivering analyses, such as specific operations financial comparisons, market/industry/company research, and other ad-hoc projects.
*Bachelor’s degree required; studies in Hotel Administration or related field a plus, with a minimum 2 years of experience working in a professional environment.
*Candidates for the Associate position should have strong communication (verbal and written) and data presentation skills.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and the automation and linking of data between all programs; working knowledge of database and graphics programs a plus.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and facilitate the collection and population of large amounts of data.
*Effective research skills (phone, internet, etc.).
*Comfortable working in a team-oriented, deadline driven environment.
*Highly adaptable with an innate attention to detail.
*Self-starter with a positive attitude, strong initiative and desire to learn.
