Capital Region BOCES delivers more than 160 educational and administrative services to its 24 component school districts and to the City School District of Albany. Combined, these districts educate more than 80,000 students in the New York State counties of Albany, Schoharie, Schenectady and Saratoga. Capital Region BOCES provides affordable management and administrative services such as superintendent searches, installation and maintenance of centralized computer and telephone networks, risk management training, grant writing, development of web sites and publications, substitute teacher coordination, security systems and training, and storing and analysis of student data.
Capital Region BOCES employs approximately 1,200 staff members and operates with the leadership of its central administration office and through its four divisions--Career and Technical Education, Special Education, School Support Services and the Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC).
