Pros: advancement
Cons: long days
As a manager I would work 12 hour days open to close. I learned how to manage a group of people and have them work with me not for me.

Restaurant Manager (Current Employee), Eastanollee, GAOctober 5, 2014
Pros: good environment
Cons: no health care
I would arrive to open the store, verify that all closing had been done according to procedures, and that the daily tasks had been completed. Take deposits to bank. Set up work charts, and open the store for daily operation.

fun work place
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Louisville, KYOctober 2, 2014
A typical day consisted of prepping food, stocking, cleaning, and getting customers out in a timely manner. I learned you can't run a shift with 3 employees and expect to have fast serves times. We were short handed on management. Most of my co-workers were nice and easy to work with but you always have those few that like to test you and think they – more... know more. I loved having satisfied customers. – less

Horrible Abomination
Cook (Current Employee), Calera, AlOctober 1, 2014
All the customers just want free food and will lie and manipulate you in anyway possible just to see you squirm and be miserable. I recommend NOT attempting to work for this corporation because anyone higher than General Manager does not care for your well-being. The work load is stressful, the pay is awful, and refuse any chance of receiving a raise – more... or advancement. – less

Restaurant Manager (Current Employee), Quincy, FLSeptember 27, 2014
Pros: free meals, quarterly bonus incentive program, healthcare
Cons: no breaks
Hard work, but ultimately captain ds provides you with the platform to make the restaurant as easy or as hard as you would like because you are responsible for staffing. Has a very detailed and thorough training program in place and very strict company policies for every detail. Leaves no doubt to what needs to be done.

Great food and nice clean enviorment.
Cashier/Cook (Former Employee), Memphis, TNSeptember 7, 2014
Pros: free lunches
Cons: no beneifits, no flexible hours
Typically Captain D's was very clean and did not make you feel like you needed to question whether you should eat there or not. The customers that came in were usually nice and they were polite as well. The enviorment with the co-workers was always delightful, there was alot of laughed as well as hardships shared. My manager was also someone I worked – more... with at a previous job and due to us knowing each other previously we got along great. Working at Captain D's was not hard at it was fairly easy and very enjoyable. – less
