Cashier (Former Employee), Hopkinsville, KY – November 13, 2013
Pros: great people
Cons: no benifits
Captain d's was sometimes laid back an sometimes challenging. my employees was great people everyone one helped everyone out. my job was a cashier I loved talking to the guest an making sure everyone was happy an loved coming back to eat with out. the most challenging thing would be our busy Sunday's. it was just u was always on the go no breaks until – more... it slowed down but nothing I couldn't handle – less
Shift Manager (Former Employee), Americus, GA – December 5, 2013
Pros: people and friendships
I started my work experience here. I started working here when I was 16 years old and moved myself to a shift manager and then to an assistant manager. One of the best jobs I had I enjoyed the people and what the job taught me about responsibility and life.
CASHIER (Former Employee), Sparta, TN – December 3, 2013
I liked working at Captain D's. It was always fun to go into work and know I was going to have a good day. My co workers were great to work with. Time management was good I always had time for my daughter and family. The hardest part of my job was really nothing and the easiest part of my job was prepping the food and always having a smile on my face.
Cook/Server (Former Employee), Huntsville, AL – November 27, 2013
Very busy and steady. I learned different ways to cook and marinate fish. Management wasn't so well. My co workers were somewhat easy to get along with. The hardest part is cooking so many things at once.
Cashier/Stocker (Former Employee), Madison, TN – September 13, 2013
Pros: before new management we had free lunches.
The most enjoyable part of this job were the customers. They always entertained me, even on the not so good days. My coworkers were fun and dare I say loving. They were great people to work with. A typical day at Captain D's was clocking in and immediately making sure everything was stocked for the next service. I worked as the front cashier and also – more... ran the drive-thru window. My manager also had me sweep and mop the lobby and dining room and the bathrooms before I clocked out at the end of the day. The hardest part of this job was keeping up with the lunch rushes. It amazed me how many people came from all around to get breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same place, all at the same time. I honestly do think we should have been paid more for all the work we did. – less
