TECHNICAL SUPPRT REPRESENTATIVE - BUSINESS TEAM (Current Employee) – Lewiston, ME – September 29, 2015
Carbonite is probably one of the better call centers to work for, but I'm not sure that's saying much. Most days leave the representatives more stressed than is really necessary, and management no longer seems to care. The grand majority of the base-level workforce is looking for ways out of Carbonite as we tend to dread each day of the same monotonous activity. After ten hours of sitting in one place, staring at the same computer screens, listening to customer call in and blame your software for issues their computers are causing and essentially being told by management that we need to just deal with the awful job while juggling far too many requirements for each call, you go home simply defeated each day. Quite honestly the best part of the job is training, as the training staff are excellent and all around great people. Otherwise, not much of this job is enjoyable at all.
Decent pay and benefits, great training.
Micromanaging, monotony, lack of movement.
