About CareFlite
CareFlite has served the 149,000 citizens of Johnson County, Texas as the primary 911 emergency services provider since 2003. CareFlite's 34 employees based in Johnson County staff four ambulances and respond to 8,000 calls each year. Johnson County recently extended CareFlite's contract to provide 911 emergency services until 2008.
CareFlite also – more... operates Specialty Care Trucks (SCT) throughout the Metroplex. SCT offers the same high level of medical care that patients receive on CareFlite's helicopter EMS service. But with wheels instead of wings. It is a very cost effective way to transfer critically ill patients within the Metroplex. SCT service is available 24/7 in Dallas, Tarrant and surrounding counties. A new SCT vehicle was delivered to CareFlite in October 2005. Including the newly acquired truck, CareFlite currently has three SCT vehicles available.
