Strategic Projects, Technical Support Center (TSC) (Former Employee), San Diego, CA – May 16, 2014
Cons: lack of direction
This company was a good place to learn new skills and break into the medical device industry. After the spinoff, there were multiple layoffs that took it's toll on it's employees. Job morale suffered and so did the customer support. In order to advance you had to be proactive and find your niche or else you wouldn't be going anywhere. I liked the people – more... I worked with but then it just got too "corporate" and everything was just business. – less
Pros: customer satisfaction, benefits and traveling
Cons: no real structure for training and professionalism was at an time low

This is where we had to test in a Virtual and Go live environment. *Install and dedicate Laser Printers through hospital devices. *Testing for any complications was also part of my duties and use different scenarios in order to make sure that everything was working up to specs. *This involved managing my own accounts as well as consulting and troubleshooting any issues that may come up by the customer. With this information I have always had a success rate with excellent Customer service *Other duties that were a part of my responsibilities were to educate nurses, Doctors and staff members of the Pharmacy. *I handled numerous projects at one time and had to be efficient in meeting my goals within a time frame. I had always established good customer Service with my clients. – less

Sr. Office Services Coordinator, Legal Operations (Current Employee), San Diego, CA 92130 – February 24, 2014
Pros: makes great products, nice co-workers
Cons: high turn-over of employees, low job security, poor low and mid-level management
I came to CareFusion as their first records person since spinning from Cardinal Health. Was able to get years of records properly filed, put in place a current records retention policy, began to store all contracts electronically.
Since starting at CareFusion 4-years ago, more than 3/4 of the legal department I work in has been let go and new employees – more... hired. That being said, job security is not very good.
I do like what I do and overall the company, I do feel that it is time for a change. I would love to work a little closer to home and in a job which there is a possibility for growth and challenge. – less
Manager (Current Employee), San Diego, CA – February 11, 2014
Pros: job security, average wage and decent comps.
Cons: lack of training or a high potential track, lack of job growth, monotonous work environment that is more tactical than strategic
Lack of communication between functions and business units, fear for job security and management's lack of interest in employee advancement makes CareFusion a poor company for high potential employees. Read: if you are an ambitious, intelligent risk taker looking for a challenge, CFN may not be the place for you.
If you you don't mind a repetitive – more... work environment filled with corporate platitudes and no growth opportunities, you have found your place. – less
Advisor of Strategic Pricing, SME Infusion (Current Employee), Vernon Hills, IL – December 7, 2013
Pros: people, work to life ratio, health benefits
I have the opportunity to work with great people at my current employer. I typically start my day by updating/creating contracts to send off to distributors. I spend a lot of time talking with marketing, sales, IT and finance to compile completed data and keep each unit in line. It is my responsibility to work all rebated lines that come in for my business – more... unit. Working with IT is a huge task for me as I am continuously working with them to make our processing system more efficient. We just moved into a new facility with many great amenities including a gym, coffee bars, and cafeteria. The best part of my day is interacting with my employees and co workers. – less
