Pros: being allowed to do your own job without much management supervision.
Cons: the medical side leaves alot to be desired in that area and needs new blood.
Management and co-workers were awesome with the exception of the Medical division which soured me quickly to the whole company. On the Supply division, the management team allowed you to be the grown up you are and allowed you to do the job you were asked to do without any interference; only support if you needed it. Cons: too much travel
Typical day included traveling to account sites, either Hospital or Nursing home and installing equipment and/or training staff. When no installations happening, on-line training or helping a colleague.
Learned HIPPA regulations regarding Electronic Health Information and worked within these guidelines. Training was on the job and in a non-formal mentoring – more... program, since it was non-formal seemed to have little accountability. – less

Pros: the feeling of doing good for society
Cons: parts do not come in. then its my job to lay off people.
First i would go to work and meet up with 1st shift at 2:00 PM and find out the status days production, deal with issues and 1 st shift complaints or any complications then at 2:15 my second shift comes in and then we would both have a huge meeting in which consist of 30 associates and discuss product flow, training and quality and safety. Then frist – more... shift would clock out and go home and i would get the shop organized for the first 2 hours then have a meeting with my other bosses and deal with questions about the documentation practices and any thing else that pertains the job. Once the bosses are done with me they go home and now i have to make sure that the shop runs smooth. My job is to service ventilators and make sure that we get our quota out on a timely matter. I have learned patients and i have learned to work with many different cultures. The hardest part of the job is we get low on parts when we cannot make our production # so the # goes up even higher and now i have to pressure my team to make the higher #. This is not a software company - it's a hardware company that thinks it can apply the same process to software development. Top-heavy design and specification over a Agile approach leads to a very difficult development environment.

Good company, but revenue is the bottom line

Pros: room for advancement - they like to promote from within. good culture, ability to work from home.
Cons: revenue is the #1 priority and they do layoffs to cut costs when necessary.
A good company to work for. Flexible work schedule...work from home office. Potentially a lot of travel depending on your location. Layoffs have been ongoing for the last 4 - 5 years. I was with the company for over 15 years and was recently part of a Reduction in Force.

Great working with customers daily.

Pros: managing projects, working as a team.
Cons: management not sure of the process that is used.
All in all a good place to work. They were spun off from Cardinal Health a few years ago and are still trying to get it all figured out. Working with customers on a daily basis, learned a lot about pharmacy administration, IT. Co-workers were the best part of the job as they all work well together. The hardest part was trying to deploy software or systems – more... with little documentation but it got done without issue. The most enjoyable part was working together with a team to get a Hospital's medication management system up and working for the customer. – less

Typical Day at work?

Pros: got along great with my coworkers. if i ever needed help, they were right by my side.
Cons: poor budgeting issues within the company. caused lot's of lost jobs.
I was able to work at my own pace. My management really trusted me to get the job done. I also helped out in our packaging dept. When needed. So the company trained me very well in many depts. So they could utilize me there if needed. I really enjoyed the fact that they gave me other opportunities in the workplace and trusted me to do that.

No a nice place to work. I guess you must be contractor to recent employee. Benefits sucks. Co-workers may be nice. How are the managers. They are monsters aren't they? I guess you are in assembly. Don't the time if you want to grow. If this job is temporary, may be alright.
