It's a shame the reviewer feels that way. The majority of folks here are ex Kodak/3M people and their recruitment process hired and encouraged a certain breed of person. Those customer facing staff are very service focussed and continue to be so. It is true to say that the pay and benefits package is comparable with the rest of the industry. However it has to be borne in mind that Kodak is not as profitable as it was and all the business units formed a huge corporation and sat under an umbrella where nobody seemed to be clear of where the money was coming from and where it was lost. With that in mind one must realise we are owned by a holding company who are well aware of these facts and will shed people where they can see that a loss is likely to be made. Those that have worked as man and boy sometimes lose sight of what is going on in the world outside and feel changes that are to their detriment are totally wrong and that they are entitled to the same benefits come what may. All profitable companies will look closely at their costs and try to rein them in, which sadly equates to monitoring utilisation levels and it's resulting casualties. When this process is followed there is no doubt that some of the decisions will be questioned and folks will shake their heads in disbelief but no process is perfect and nobody likes to see a colleague let go. The work/life balance sometimes wanders too far into work for some but there are companies out there that are a lot worse. I would encourage anyone considering taking up a post in this company but beware, it is not a company where you can hide in the woodwork.
