Once was fun. Not worth it.
Problem Manager I (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIApril 13, 2016
Pros
Flexible hours, Friendly co-workers, Great for developing skills such as: multi-tasking, typing speed, talking to clients
Cons
On the lower end of pay for Help Desk work, Longer you work there the more difficult your job becomes, Not in touch with lower level staff and their needs
Advice to Management
Your hourly workers are your product you sell to companies. Treat them right, or you run the risk of essentially ruining your own product.
Pros
Stress free
Cons
Poor management

Productive workplace with great people .
Problem Manager (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIFebruary 20, 2016
I love CareTech , my pay rate is not what i deserve but overall this is a good company to work for as a student. As a full time student and full time worker caretech has allowed me to manage the both. Tuition reimbursement and flexible shif arrangements has allowed me to be a loyal team mate with the company simply because they work as hard as me to keep up with production.
Pros
Free lunch, convient location, open door, entry level
Cons
pay rate could increase a bit.

Loved My Job, Did Not Love Management
Epic Clinical Support Analyst II (Former Employee) –  Troy, MINovember 22, 2015
I loved everything about working for this company, other than the poor management and the company is always completely unorganized. I was let go of, unfairly, without investigation or details as to why, out of nowhere (and I was one of the star employees out of hundreds). Extremely high turnover rate,
Pros
Free Lunches, Many Breaks
Cons
Mangement, Unorganized

No job advancement, they want you to take on more responsibilities but do not pay more.
Caretech was bought by a Hindu and now they are moving our jobs to India.
Pros
Getting a paycheck
Cons
Understaffed, Overworked, Underpaid, Overstressed

Terrible Place to work
Incident Manager (Former Employee) –  Troy, MIFebruary 15, 2016
They essentially chain you to your desk and time you when you take a break or go to the bathroom. Pay is not very good. Hard to move up also

Great friends make this place fun
Service Desk Analyst 1 / Problem Manager (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIAugust 28, 2015
CareTech Solutions is a great place to start your IT Career. You will learn a lot about windows 7 , and MS Office. Learned a decent amount about some EMR systems and how they function. The best part is the people. If you don't know how to fix an issue , they will help you out till you are able to do so. However somethings just can't fixed over the telephone.

The work environment is positive for the most part. People are willing to help. Days are super busy and extremely slow for certain analyst depends how many accounts you have.

Flexible hours and a great entry level position
Service Desk Analyst (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIApril 27, 2015
Not a bad place to work. They are very flexible with hours making it a great place to work while attending school. Decent compensation for what is available in the marketplace. Work can be stressful, but most jobs have this flaw. Great opportunities for advancement, Caretech is a notorious hire from within company. Another great perk is pay promotions are entirely performance based.

Okay for experience
SERVICE DESK ANALYST/PROBLEM MANAGER (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIMarch 27, 2015
This place hires just to have a body behind the phone when someone calls the Helpdesk. A lot of people here have no technical knowledge or experience. The actually competent workers suffer the most and make well below what they are worth. They seem to give you raises or promotions (very few) based on if you are in the "clique" here or know someone. Very buddy buddy here.
Pros
Free lunches, OT
Cons
Advancement is hard, work is rarely recognized. They need to do something to retain the actual good employees they have.

Good place to work overall
Client Support Analyst II/Incident Manager (Former Employee) –  Troy, MIFebruary 19, 2015
Good place to work overall. Executives should pay more attention to the help desk employees. Especially the ones who work very hard to improve the overall productivity. Executive walks around with his face in his cell phone and does not even look at you when you say hello. Other than that, a great place to work and you are surrounded by hard working employees who show you respect as business professional and willing to help in any way.

Great company, if you don't want to have a life outside of work.
Service Desk Analyst I (Former Employee) –  Troy, MiFebruary 10, 2015
Caretech consists of great ideas with bad execution. They are an IT company in the healthcare business, so they will always be around and continue to grow. The compensation does not match the workload, and all employees complain every day.

Healthcare IT outsourcing company
Manager, Infrastructure Operations (Current Employee) –  Rochester, MIOctober 4, 2014
My position requires wearing many hats in one day; mentor, leader, project manager, technical engineer encompassing all aspects of healthcare IT. I find it to be challenging and energizing with the level or responsibilities demanded of me.

The management team at CareTech provides plenty of growth and learning opporunities through mentorship and hands on training.

My team onsite are my most valuable asset. They support the hospital with almost every aspect of healthcare IT including; desktop support, network support, server support including both physical, and virtual servers.
Pros
flexible schedule, training opportunities, benefits.
Cons
compensation is not commensurate with industry averages at most levels

Under staffed
Staff Accountant (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIAugust 3, 2012
I love that my manager did not micro-manage the staff. We were given tasks and assignements for the month and/or special projects. The accounting and finance team truly worked as a team to get the work done. However we very seldom took breaks or lunches away from our desks. Worked with most departments one-on-one. Great experience but the Pay is not in line with the work.
Pros
great manager
Cons
no breaks and only one raise in four years - blamed it on the economy.

IT Support Analyst (Former Employee) –  Troy, MIJanuary 15, 2014
The company and people were great, but does not follow through on their hire in process. You can learn a lot about hospital EMR systems, clinical applications and every day issues that hospital staff encounter. Very good experience.
Pros
great work environment
Cons
all employees who are promised a permanent position/promotion after 6 months are not given one.

Initially it is a good place to work with lots of opportunities to advance, but if you are not looking to work in the Medical Field this one is not for you, although the experience is great, but the management and the values, lack tremendously.
Daily it seems to grow into udder redundancy, and it is very stressful
Pros
free lunches, travel opportunities

Service Desk Analyst (Former Employee) –  Troy, MIOctober 6, 2014
Overworked and underpaid Advancement opportunity is not as explained from being hired in. Raises are given on a if they like you basis. They train you on several accounts but do not give any type of incentives to employees other than working lunches
