Automation/Electrical/Instrumentation Technician (Current Employee), Hammond, INMay 27, 2014
High turn over of young engineers, need more followup training, techs are all very knowledgable but an extreme shortage of techs is beginning to strain the ability to maintain all equipment that is needed.

IT PROCUREMENT & FINANCE ANALYST (Current Employee), Hopkins, MNMay 21, 2014
Pros: compensation
Cons: poor job security
Business is based on cost. When costs are high, they need to be lowered as was the case with IT Infrasture at Cargill, which will be fully outsourced by Sept. 2014

deckhand for cargill
Deckhand (Former Employee), Charleston, MOMay 20, 2014
Pros: great company to work for
Cons: dangerous at times
The job is very well managed. The company is all about safety. They have a safety meeting every morning before work to remind people the dangers and what could get dangerous. Being a deckhand, and loading barges is hot and cold too. Hardhats, safety glasses, steeltoe boots, pants, and a lifevest are required.

Productive and opportunity to gain work experience
Cover Handler (Former Employee), Westwego, LAApril 30, 2014
Pros: short commute to workplace
Cons: communication
A typical day of work was a level of comfort/peace of mind having the opportunity to provide for myself and family. I learned about safety in the workplace and everyday life. Also learned to work in uniform with a team to accomplish tasks, daily. The hardest part of the job was adjusting to the large amounts of dust throughout work facility. The most – more... enjoyable part was completing a day of work without any injuries throughout work facilty. – less

Picnic Skinner (Former Employee), Ottumwa, IAApril 21, 2014
Pros: paychecks
Cons: supervisiors and hr
Some of the supervisors were very rude to people. There was nothing enjoyable about working at Cargill other than the paychecks and some of the co workers. Every job there was hard on your body.
