Horrible conditions for humans to work!
Pricing Merchandise (Former Employee), Kansas City MoMarch 22, 2014
Pros: weekly pay!
Cons: everything else!
I priced merchandise for Cargo Largo. I found the closest merchandise online to match and compare with Cargo Largo's merchandise. After locating the item online I would price it half off the online price. When I was not pricing merchandise I was asked to sort merchandise to place on the shelves. The food items had mice jumping out of the Large industrial – more... box after being disturbed. The place was always filthy and the managers attitude was nasty. I really wish I had something good to say about my employment with Cargo Largo but the truth is I would not recommend anyone work at Cargo Largo. – less

Great, enjoyable work place
Call Center Representative (Former Employee), Kansas City, MOOctober 3, 2013
Pros: secured, good team sport, good benifits
Cons: one hour lunches
Working at Cargo Largo was a good experience. I learned so much working at that place of employment, i learned how to search the warehouse finding customers lost product also how to get a tracking number for customers merchandise. There was no real hard part about the job, only part that was tricky was dealing with personal documents and having to search – more... and find the company to contact them then try and get the tracking number. The management was wonderful until they lowered our boss to a supervisor and another man took over, he was not friendly at all. He was not somebody you could feel comfortable talking to if having a issue, he only spoke to me one time and that was saying "hello." My co-workers on the other hand were amazing, they were all so friendly everybody got along and were very helpful. – less

Maybe not the worst job I have had but definitely in the running
Merchandiser (Former Employee), Independence, MOJanuary 22, 2013
I worked in a few different departments in this job, and not a single one of them was run well. Lack of leadership from management, and an overabundance of criticism was common. They tried to write me up for an approved absence due to the birth of one of my children, definitely not a company I would recommend.

poor place to work
Sales (Former Employee), Independence MoOctober 10, 2012
Pros: don't think there are any
I worked for Cargo Largo for a number of years. In the beginning this was a fun place to work. There was big holiday parties and you got really good gifts. They also gave you a discount off the very low awesome prices. That went away they rasied the prices to cover the sales. It used to be like having a family away from home. After a year or 2 things – more... went downhill. They are constantly changing managers and polices. They do not understand that things happen outside of work and people have kids and family that die, get sick and so forth. I know of a number of ex employees that left Cargo Largo due because of the way Cargo Largo treated them. The store is very dirty and the roof leaks all the time and the employees have to place buckets all over the store. And if they don't they are the ones that get in trouble. Whatever you do, you do not want to work here. – less

I purchased granola bars that were taped up and when they were opened they had been eaten by mice. It was digusting and the manager didn't even care. The manager was rude to the employees as I was walking around and the place was just in poor shape. It use to be fun to go in and shop and now I wouldn't go back for anything. The prices are not competitive and the management is horrible.

It's all what you make it
Product Evaluator (Current Employee), Independence, MOSeptember 11, 2012
Pros: saturday & sunday off. paid weekly.
Cons: repetitive, but what isn't?
I do on-line research for product info & pricing so that I can evaluate what I will price a specific item at. I've learned about different brands, how to describe them in detail, & where to find them for the lowest prices. The people I work with are fun & easy to get along with. The hardest part of the job is standing all day, but it's not bad. The – more... most enjoyable part is the great deals I can get. – less

Not Fun at all
Retail Associate (Former Employee), Independence, MOMarch 27, 2012
I was hired for part time, but worked over 60 hrs a week. The air conditioner went out every other week in the middle of summer. The whole place is dirty and things thrown everywhere
