We are searching for a dedicated Practice Manager for our Ashburn location. Experience in the veterinary field is a MUST. Requirements are as follows:
-Possess a thorough understanding of and be responsible for all hospital operations including the roles and duties of all hospital employees and the flow of daily operations
-Oversee the duties and understand the roles of the Office Manager, Inventory Manager and Team Leaders. Delegate tasks to these positions as appropriate.
-Knowledge of inventory, equipment and drugs including their function, proper handling and quantities needed on hand to ensure that hospital operations are efficient. Knowledge should include current items and those that may benefit the hospital in the future. Primary responsibility for purchasing and managing and distributing inventory budgets
-Ability to develop and maintain a scheduling system. Ensure the hospital is appropriately staffed based on the needs of the hospital and clientele.
-Familiarity with OSHA and AAHA regulations and federal employment law (FMLA, EEOC, etc). Maintain records of all employee training and communications.
-Knowledge of the recruitment, hiring and termination process. Providing timely reviews for new and existing employees. Maintain employee records.
-Possess a strong understanding of veterinary business, including finance, budgets, payroll and accounts receivable. Provide timely reports to the owners regarding these areas.
-Perform duties as described in the Practice Managers Standard Operating Procedures
-Oversee monthly staff meetings.
