Teaching a 6-week intensive course has its challenges. But this program was fantastic. The CMU/PITT initiative really turned out excellent lessons in neuroscientific research for those hungriest to learn the methods. My time-managemet skills were tested and honed here.

There are ongoing seminars and workshops at the various Universities, which are all within a short walk. Carnegie Mellon provides great benefits for its research and staff, and provide a very supportive atmosphere

Learned how to be and effective researcher in mathematics.

My job was engaging and I worked with a graduate student in the lab on her research project that analyzed the steel hot shortness and its different effects with varying variables.

Good academic environment. Work with knowledge and inspiring peers. The atmosphere is upbeat and inspiring. Most professors are nice and friendly.

I quickly learned how best to find and filter the information I was looking for. I also figured out which questions to ask in order to determine exactly what was expected of me.

CMU offers excellent opportunities for professional growth but one must network to find them.
