Carolinas Medical Center established the Levine Children's Hospital Planning and Advisory Committee to provide a link between the greater Charlotte community, the Carolinas HealthCare System Board and selected members of CMC Administration. To provide CMC planners with knowledge, experience and opinion with regard to the development of healthcare services and programs to meet the needs of children and their families. To provide input with respect to the design, construction, and operation of the proposed Levine Children's Hospital to improve the quality of service for children at CMC and to assure differentiation of the Children's Hospital from other institutions or programs in the region. To provide a mechanism for members of the community, both medical and non-medical, to voice support for individual programs and services as well as the overall Children's Hospital initiative.
