Intense and challenging work environment.
Logistics On Site (Current Employee), Fargo, ND – May 18, 2013
Pros: the ability to telecommute when needed, getting a week and half of paid vacation every christmas on top of my vacation time, endless opportunites and challenges, and lots of potential for promotions
Cons: short notice for required travel, lack of sufficient resources for projects, ongoing conflict between plant and corporate interests
Every day is very busy as the goal is to keep the plant running and avoid shutting any of the different areas of the plant down if at all possible.
I learned a great deal about communication and accountability.
I am a corporate employee who works in the plant to support both plant and corporate needs. Management on both sides are generally satisfied – more... with my work, even though the goals/needs of each can be very different.
My co-workers are all very dedicated and hard working people.
Being a "satellite" type employee can be very difficult because the goals between my management team and the plant management team are not always the same.
I am required to be a self managed individual and have always enjoyed that and had great success with it. – less

Productive and busy workplace
Parts Associate (Current Employee), Lebanon, IN – April 4, 2013
Pros: lots of overtime
Cons: low hourly wages
My day is driving a reach truck, order selector, or torrent truck putting away parts. I've learned to read some blueprints, also I learned how to measure parts on the cubiscan machine. We also use RF guns to find locations throughout the warehouse. Most of my co workers are pleasant. The hardest part of the job is trying make rate and finding locations – more... in a timely manner all day. The most enjoyable part of the job are the bonuses we get when we don't have lots of accidents. – less

Receiver (Current Employee), Lebanon, IN – October 26, 2012
I have worked for worse and better. That is all I can say. Some people are undered worked and over payed, others over worked and under payed. There are three sets of rules there. HR, she is the worse I have ever seen in my life.

Very productive anvironment
Packaging (Former Employee), Lebanon, IN – October 8, 2012
Pros: stayed busy.
Cons: some heavy product
Receive my product to package, count and package whatever the tractor part may be. Management was always there and helpful. My coworkers were reliable. Hardest part was some heavy object. Most enjoyable part was the work and being able to move around the whole night.

Warehouse associate (Former Employee), Cameron, MO – August 10, 2012
Not that great. They are not interested in helping you advance and the supervisors are in it for themselves. They just keep hiring more and more people and they don't care about you. Most of the new people quit their first week.

Fast-paced work area with multiple deadlines to meet
Painter (Current Employee), Wichita, KS – June 22, 2012
Pros: cafeteria open 5 days per week, paid vacation, health plan, retirement plan, holidays, surprise time off, pay rate
Cons: short/non-existent breaks, bottlenecking at the snack machines due to cafeteria pricing and location, random work hours, little to no knowledge of length of work days, little to no knowledge of length of work week
People are always on the go, and some seem to be on the go to nowhere pretty fast. The schedule is always changing to keep up with the demands of customers and the amount of parts in stock to build products with.

World Class Manufacturing Team Lead (Former Employee), Fargo, ND – May 17, 2012
Pros: wonderful co-workers and management
My typical day at work began at 6 am. Case taught me about the world of Ergonomics and World Class Manufacturing. It gave me a new insight of what the business of Case truly is. My management in my department were excellent managers who took time to teach me everything I know about what it takes to be the best in any situation. There were times when – more... I had a hard time with finding time to accomplish what needed to be done in a days time, but I found that every new day was an enjoyable experience for me. – less

Manufacturing Welder (Former Employee), Wichita, Kansas – May 11, 2012
Pros: free water when the weather is hot and lunch
Cons: 1 ten minute break and 20 minute lunch
Working at CNH is fun but there's to many prejudice people in charge. There's nothing really hard about working there I enjoyed my welding experiences. In fact, I've learned a lot but for some reason I got laid off and never called back. I passed CNH welding qualification test.

Some interesting aspects but too much intervention and micro-mamngement
Supplier Quality Engineer (Current Employee), Mount Joy, IA – March 18, 2012
Pros: experiencecd people, purchased parts tracking and information, expense accounts.
Cons: tools (personal computers, att wifi, software), health care, training, management review.
CNH has changed as a workplace since the increased involvement of Fiat. With each year there have been more changes and forms that in maay cases have not been value added. Compensation system is somewhat biased against older employess with higher salaries. CNH/Fiat have not kept pace with other OEMs Caterpillar and John Deere in that part approvals – more... are still performed by the supplier quality specialists instead of subcontract. There is no particular recognition system i.e. award system for suppliers demonstrating exceptional performance in the areas of PPM and/or delivery. – less

Manufacturing Engineer II (Former Employee), Racine, Wisconsin – August 31, 2011
Pros: clean work environment
Cons: too many chiefs
Case New-Holland is utilizing all the industry tools (i.e. 5S, SMED, product ownership, various charting and work enhancement evolutions)
in organizing its' work and production. There may be such a great emphasis on these items that the individual gets lost in the shuffle. More
capacity would help as there are far too many product change-overs for regular – more... and uniform production. – less
