Heavy top down organization. Lots of money spent on entertainment and food for the leadership, very little spent on actual programs.

Supervisor, Community Programs (Current Employee) –  Pasadena, CAJune 3, 2014
On a typical work day I would provide support to my team of four social workers. I provide them clinical consultation and strategize with them on how best to serve our families. I learned that you must try things that are not the traditional social services approaches. Management teams need feedback from direct services staff to understand what their needs are.My Co-workers need open communication and they really care about our youth and families that we serve. The hardest part about this work is dealing with staff personal and personnel issues. Working for a good cause and a wonderful organization.
Pros
the company's vision, priority is to reduce the amount of children in foster care, as well as safety by 50% by the year 2020.
Cons
casey priority is reduction, the la county department of child and family services priority is chlid safety.
