I consider myself as a new employee but I've learned enough to give a review. My initial impression was that this company doesn't have a set structure in overall operations as different employees had different attitudes about the company and different ways of being productive.
As I started getting know the company and other employees of different roles and positions, I truly understand that this is a "growth" company where they are transitioning into a new business model, new system of handling reservations, and employing more effective marketing techniques. I attended the holiday work party in December; our president used the phrase "2015 was a year of transition". That was on point.
We have a new team in the reservations department. We have new initiatives in the corporate office. We are working together with our properties and resorts to better serve our guests.
What I'm trying to say is that I enjoy working for a company that is truly working on making things better for our employees and guests. It's not a perfect organization but we are working on our imperfections. My reservations supervisor has been nothing but extremely helpful and supportive. He assumed his role late last year and he's doing such a great job in every way that he can.
Work/life balance can be tricky if you do commute a long way. It is a full time position that requires a lot of focus. However, I think with proper time management, the work/life balance can improve.
