More interested in money than care
Soon to be ex employee (Current Employee), Within castle beckFebruary 26, 2013
Pros: free meals by good honest chefs
Cons: some nasty members in the staff team, gossiping, back stabbing, poor management, and a company full of false promise and hot air
In the last month EVERY NURSE in briar court hartlepool has handed in their notice because the atmosphere and workin environment has been awful. Numerous staff are leaving also due to the money orientated company castlebeck has become and the complete lack of common sense by the manager everyone feels like they are on a knife edge due to the practices – more... she is putting in place. challenging place to work
support worker (Current Employee), Oaklands,HexhamFebruary 1, 2013
Pros: meals provided, more days off as working 13 hr shifts
Cons: mental stress
The unit is for adults with learning difficulties, mental and major behavior problems. The wide range of residents can make it difficult to provide activities for all to enjoy, and most of the time they do not want to join in.My main duties on a typical day is to provide support and help for personal hygiene and daily tasks.Which ranges from people who – more... are totally incapable of doing any thing for them selves ,to helping dry hair and put make up on.
there are other duties eg laundry, activity planners, 1-1 time.Keeping the status quo can be very difficult and a lot of patience and understanding is needed. – less

A company with excellany opportunities and good staff care
Staff Nurse (Current Employee), MidlandsJuly 26, 2012
Have worked for this company since events last year and have seen a great deal of change.
A typical day at work can be hectic and gruelling yet rewarding. I work with a dedicated and diverse team of staff and a supportive manager. There are opportunities for advancement and training is easily accessible, with members of our MDT coming in at short notice – more... to provide specialist training.
At the moment i believe this to be one of the best companies to work for. – less
