Annually, Catholic Charities West Michigan serves over 25,000 individuals and families across the 11-county Diocese of Grand Rapids. Additionally, its food programs serve over 200,000 meals. Of those served, 80% are not Catholic and 75% have a household income of $15,000 or less. The agency's work is accomplished by a staff of over 275 through comprehensive, results-oriented programs and services in four distinct areas of emphasis: Child Welfare, Family Preservation, Behavioral Health, and Community Outreach.
The volunteer services director manages all elements of volunteering on behalf of CCWM. The role
involves assessing the agency needs and then meeting those needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers. This position manages their relationship with those they come into contact with, including employees and service users of CCWM. Bachelor’s Degree in the human services or equivalent in experience. Minimum of three to five years of work Experience in a non-profit managing volunteer services. Must have reliable transportation and undergo criminal background checks.
