Great entry sales job
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Fort Worth, TX –
Pros: good entry-level sales
Cons: product and management
I did not believe in the product so It was hard for me to sell it. The ethics of the company I did not agree with. A very micromanagement environment. I appreciated the cold calling and telemarketing skills that I picked up while I was there.

Outstanding opportunity if you live in Atlanta Georga and/or have a Degree
Support Staff (Former Employee), Regional Market –
Pros: occasional handouts from the sales area, yearly bonus from review
Cons: angry frustrated and ignored customers, advancement very minimal except at the home office, most promotions for the sales professionals only
No Position advancement unless you have at least an AA Degree, someone local leaves, or you live in Atlanta Georgia, the home office location. Yearly Bonus for excellent reviews. If you’re a Sales employee, as in most Tele/IT Service Providers you get a lion share of the monthly perks while the support staff has occasional hand outs from sales. I really – more...  enjoyed my job. I wish that I could have been advanced to a type of position working on the equipment in a larger area. The most difficult part of the job was listening to the customer complaints directly (as a part of my job) and not being able to make any change in the structure that caused or irritated those complaints. Insurance is with United Health Care and is gradually becoming more and more difficult and expensive. Co-workers were great. Management started excellent but in the past couple of years has placed more focus on the statistic size rather than what it represents (maybe) in growth related service of the customer. The sub-set of this is a great focus on trying to remote service/repair the customer %100, with no or minimal local or remote technicians. The technicians tend to become customer hand holders. – less

Good entry level position with a fast paced work environment.
Sales Rep (Current Employee), Chicago, IL –
Pros: commission structure, bonuses and president's club trips.
Cons: very difficult to uphold any work life balance.
This job is great for any college grad or job seeker looking to make a career in sales.

It is a highly competitive environment with great rewards, as long as you are willing to do the work.

The upward mobility model is limited to any senior level sales person due to an outdated sales structure and poor senior leadership.

Hard sale but possible sale with a great work culture.
Territory Sales Representative (Former Employee), Miami –
Pros: culture and pay.
Cons: impossible sale
Once you get into Cbeyond you are immediately taken into a family like environment. I was on multiple teams, and each team was just as fun as the other. Most manager are great and will help you out as much as possible. All the Team Leads are outstanding. As much as it was needed for me to leave it was still tough, just because of the bonds you will – more...  create. The only bad is the toughness of the sale. But if you come in with a book of business you will do great, and get payed great!. – less

Challenging but Fun Environment
Territory Sales Rep (Former Employee), Santa Clara, CA –
Cbeyond is challenging as you are dealing with rejection everyday interacting with gatekeepers and business owners. Thats what also makes it exciting, because once you find that sale, it makes all the tough parts worth it. The environment is energetic with a lot of positive individuals running around having a good time in the office.

High energy environment that promotes professional growth!
Territory Sales Representative (Current Employee), Dallas, TX –
Pros: fun environment with the potential for growth
CBeyond is not a company to work for if you are only interested in making minimal contributions. Be prepared to work long, stressful hours. If you are up for the challenge, you will immediately see rewards for your hard work. The Company provides a fun and energetic environment as well as rewarding the employees that put forth the effort to succeed – more...  in the sales role. – less

Growing company
Account Manager (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA –
Pros: free lunches, laid back environment
Cons: low pay, hard to advance
Cbeyond is a growing company with growing pains. I feel that it is hard to move to other groups and grow as they are looking for talent outside of the company to grow their existing business. This is understandable but hurts the employee who is trying to grow within the company.
