I run a drawer on the teller line, helping members with deposits and withdraws as well as helping solve any problems they might bring to me. While I am not helping members or acting as a vault teller I am encouraged to take online training modules to enhance my knowledge and performance.
Management is great, and they really work to keep morale high. It is also a not-for-profit institution, so the focus is on members not profit. If you're an altruist, a credit union like this will be better to work for than a bank any day.
The only reason I'm leaving is because I don't think banking is what I'd like to do for my career.
