Fun place to work at
Food and Beverage Worker (Former Employee), Lakewood, CA – June 17, 2013
Pros: free or discounted food, fun environment
Cons: janitorial duties, sweating in the chuck e. suit, low pay, not many hours
You host parties for children almost every day. You will be often asked to put on the Chuck E. suit and dance around for the children and parties. You do a variety of maintenance work including bathrooms and tables. The most enjoyable part is entertaining the guests and co-workers. The hardest part is the closing duties and being sent home on slow days.

Great Management Experience with unnecessary added stress
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Danvers, MA – June 16, 2013
Pros: experience
Cons: compensation, stress, lack of staffing, terrible upper management
This was a great management experience, however, it was a great learning experience in what NOT to do as a manager. We were always sorely under staffed.

I worked under a General Manager who was difficult to work with and who made it difficult to create fair scheduling.

Co workers were enjoyable.

The hardest part of my job was meeting upper management – more... expectations without the support, tools, and staffing necessary to uphold Chuck E. Cheese's high standards.

The most enjoyable part of my job was making great lasting relationships with other managers and employees. – less

Pros: cast members

It was a fun workplace, nothing really bad to say about it.
The management sometimes would disagree about some things. But overall good to work at especially when your young.

A great first and or part time job to have
Cook (Former Employee), Orlando, FL – June 9, 2013
Pros: fun and great experience at the same time being super productive
Cons: some busy days are very tough but manageable
What made working there a great experience was all the employees. They are who made the work day so great. We had a strong bond that was not only at work but also out of work.

HA!
Cook, Cashier, Hostess (Former Employee), Athens, GA – June 6, 2013
The managers are a joke, they do not do anything, they sit back in the office all day long while we work our butts off, they lie, they are irresponsible, its just a bad place to work.
I loved working with the kids, I loved my job, but its a job for people who are still in high school and dont expect to work more than 20 hours a week.

Fun Workplace
Dining Room Attendant (Current Employee), Hampton, VA – June 6, 2013
It is a decent place to work with some motivated and hardworking individuals. The most enjoyable part is seeing the children's faces as they are leaving. They look as if they have enjoyed themselves and can't wait to come back.

Party Hostess/Cashier/Game Room Attendant (Former Employee), Hixson, TN – June 5, 2013
Pros: half off on food.
Every day was different, but every day was fun. Great staff and management team. Hosting birthday parties is a blast! And regardless what people say dressing up in the chuck e suit isn't bad at all!

fun place to work can be trying at times
Team 2 Trainer (Former Employee), Grand Rapids, MI – June 2, 2013
Pros: free dinners for team 2, 50% off for other employees, free game play
Cons: very little breaks if at all
It was fun, management has a few issues they need to work out. My co-workers were great I made a lot of new friends. The hardest part of the job was having patience with all the different types of people that came in but that is what made the job the most enjoyable was meeting those new guests or encountering guests that were frequently in there.

good company
Team 2 Trainer (Former Employee), Wayne, NJ – May 30, 2013
Pros: good people
Cons: low pay no real advancement potential
The company was great to work for. The compensation is minimal, and you never get a weekend off. However, I enjoyed working there because of the people i worked with. The hardest part of the job had to be learning the patience to deal with children. I worked there for three years and got one raise after being promoted to a team 2 trainer. Security is – more... there no advancement potential that i see is there though. The most enjoyable part of the job for me was tinkering wih the games to make them work again. – less

Tight purse strings
Assistant Manager (Current Employee), Mayfield Hts, OH – May 29, 2013
Pros: free meals, fun atmosphere
Cons: hours, no vacation jan-april
I really enjoyed being a manager in this restaurant. They were always eager to promote from within and if you have the right GM they will teach you many things to get you there. The problem is they're eager to promote from with in because it will cost them less than hiring from the outside- so pay scale was not very fair.
Also, I do not have children, – more... but all of the managers I have ever worked with complained about the 10 hour days that were either 7-5, 11-9, or 1-11 and they didn't get to see much of their families. – less

Was a very productive work place and very fun environment for children
Party, Hostess and Cashier (Former Employee), Springfield, OH – May 29, 2013
Pros: breaks, time to spend with children
Cons: no benefits, low pay with strenuous hours
A typical day at work would include cleaning tables, sweeping floors and sweeping under tables and booths, cleaning games, fixing ticket jams within the games. Setting up tables for birthday parties of 20 children or so to attend to. Also have to make out orders in time for the birthday show, and also to participate in the birthday show as Chuck E. – more... Cheese himself or as the party hostess. I have learned with this job you have to have a lot of patience within this work environment and a good attitude because children can see right through your bad moods and it effects them. The hardest part of the job was working weekends while I was in High School during my Senior year. The most enjoyable part of the job would be enjoying the time with the children while helping them with their birthday party experience. – less

Not a bad first job.
Cashier (Former Employee), Spokane, WA – May 26, 2013
Pros: learning experience
Cons: no free food, smell costume, screaming children
Typically, I would come to work and be assigned a duty for the day. Birthday hostess, mouse, kitchen, cashier, merchandiser, busser and what have you. I learned plenty from the job. I learned how to work hard, get along with people and be a team. Management wasn,t horrible, but not great. Where a kid can be a kid...well le'ts just say the adults were – more... too.

Hardest part...dealing with screaming children. Enjoyable part was making sure people had a good time. – less

Exciting
Cashier/Host/Cook (Former Employee), Wichita, KS – May 23, 2013
Pros: fun work environment
Cons: cleaning pizza off the floor
A typical day is very loud and full of children. I learned how to have patience with children. I would manage birthday party's with groups of children close to 25 kids. I really enjoyed giving the birthday parties with the kids and there family's.
