Lots of new people to meet and have fun while getting payed.
Line Cook (Former Employee), Sandusky, OHSeptember 17, 2014
Pros: cool people
Cons: short breaks no health benefits
A typical day at Cedar Point was getting up and dressed taking the bus to the cafeteria I worked in and making food for the employees. I learned there are a lot of mouths to feed there. The management was very professional and would pull you aside to let you know if anything is wrong or lacking in your job performance. The hardest part of the job was – more... making a bunch of different food at once and making sure it was cooked all the way. The most enjoyable part of the whole job was making new friends and learning how to cook. – less

Food Host -Part-Time (Former Employee), Sandusky, OHSeptember 9, 2014
Pros: complementary access to park, meet new people
Cons: no guaranteed breaks, low wages
My typical day at work was not nearly a typical day. My job/ title changed daily so, some days I would be cooking burgers, fries, chicken strips. Other days I could be doing elephant ears, cotton candy and very few days I would work in the pool area cooking. This was very team oriented and couldn't be ran without a team. The hardest part was walking – more... from the front of the park to the back in the steaming sun. the most enjoyable was meeting people from all over the world. – less

Could be better
Food Hostess (Former Employee), Sandusky, OhioSeptember 3, 2014
Pros: free food only was when they were throwing out the food.
Cons: they didn't pay enough
First the employees could been way more sensitive to others, and have taken others into consideration.

A typical day working here was by far the worst it was hot, muggy, and irritating. I didn't like my job, although the guest were bout the most friendly people.

Management was terrible/okay, I wasn't feeling good, I was a bit dehydrated and yet they – more... didn't care. Your health really isn't important.

The hardest part was keeping a smile on your face while dealing with one of the worst managers in the world.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the rides! – less

An Fun New Experience
Park Services Associate (Former Employee), Sandusky, OHAugust 12, 2014
A typical work day as a Cedar Point Restroom Attendant starts off by getting your partner for the day being either male or female. Then getting your assigned restrooms within the park being. Then you go to your restrooms and do the morning final which consist of cleaning toilets, urinal, sink, counter, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, changing tissue,paper – more... towel, and soap you do that for all the other restrooms in your set and throughout the day you go to each restroom checking up on each of your restrooms to see if they need any attention. – less

if coming from another state and living with your co-workers and living a responsible and college type of life sounds good to you then this is a great place to work. You get to ride the rides free on your days off, your schedule hours are great, and their isn't to many places you can spend your money so you stack up quite a bit of money.

Long hours, pay does not compensate
Games Department Associate (Former Employee), Sandusky, OHJuly 19, 2014
Pros: meeting people from around the world
Cons: bad pay, no commission for first years, poor housing quality, poor food choices for employees in housing.
You will meet people from around the world and make many friends, but the close quarters you live in (if you live in company housing) is disgusting and there is a lot of drama caused by this. Food is affordable at employee canteen if you like pizza and hot dogs everyday. There is no kitchen available if you want to do your own cooking except for a 700 – more... watt microwave in the lobby of the housing. It takes almost a month for housing work orders to go through and when I left we still hadn't had our window screen replaced or the leak in our ceiling fixed.

The First Aid center is not a good place to go to unless you need a Band-Aid or anti-acid. Major cuts are not cleaned and they will suggest you not go to the doctor (except for the doctor that comes to the Point every week) for major injuries (like sprains).

Work is hard, like any other job, but you can be working anywhere from 4 hours to 13 hours a day in heat and humidity. You are on your feet all day and you constantly have to yell out to guests for them to come play your game. I still have my "script" from working the microphone games memorized. It is very boring and tedious work. – less

Great Experience, Long Hours
Food Host Supervisor (Former Employee), Sandusky, OhJuly 15, 2014
Pros: free tickets
Cons: long hours
Cedar Point is great because you can meet people from all over the world and build lasting friendships. You also make a lot of money. I didn't like the super long work shifts. Some shifts should be 18 hours long leaving you with minimal time for food and sleep.

Cashier & Hospitality (Former Employee), Sandusky, OHMay 25, 2014
It would be a nice day. I would have to first set up my working area and make sure that I had everything that I needed for the day. I also had to make sure that my area was clean. My managers were very professional they would do check-ups to see if we were doing okay. The hardest part of the job was the different cultures that I came upon because cedar – more... point had a lot of different cultures working there. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new people and the job experiences. – less

Fun summer job!
Games Lead (Former Employee), Sandusky, OHMay 20, 2014
This is a great summer job but definitely don't make this your career. The hours are grueling and make it hard to have fun and enjoy spending time with all of the interesting people that work there. It is easy to move up, but the turnover rate is ridiculous.
