My experience here predated FUJI acquirement. At that time management was terrible and hopefully it as improved. It was a man's world: women were routinely passed over or pushed out. Frontline scientists were not allowed to present and discuss their own data in group settings.
It's a good place to start and the science can't be beat. Very fun cell differentiation and de-differentiation projects, excellent equipment and well-stocked facility-- and always friendly Midwesterners to chat with in the next hood.
Advancement is difficult and the company placed a much higher value on unproven MBAs and PhDs over career scientists. Management and colleagues are encouraged to 'borrow' others' work and claim credit.
Hopefully much of this has changed since the company has changed hands.
