Hard working people
Patient Care Extender (Current Employee) –  Saint Cloud, MNMarch 22, 2017
Management has a lot of work to do. They focus to much on making patients happy, instead of checking on the needs of employees. The culture has become overly busy, fast pace, and came feel like you are overworked and underpaid for added on responsibilities. You are seen as easily replaceable and a number. A lot of unnecessary personal issues between staff
Pros
Smal, good benefits
Cons
Managment wanted to give only one 20 minute break for a 12 hour shift (which is illegal), overworked staff, not loyal managment to employees who have been there for a long time, issues in the work place will not be solved with managment unless it has to do with a patient.

Senior Laboratory Assistant (Current Employee) –  St. Cloud, MNFebruary 20, 2017
Very nice place to work. The staff and patients are very nice. It is hard to "get hired" as the hire process is long. There is good benefits and once you are hired you will enjoy your work.

Doesn't care about employees
Laundry Aide (Current Employee) –  St. Cloud, MNJanuary 6, 2017
Don't be fooled by the starting pay and benefits. This work place doesn't give a hoot about their employees. Especially the laundry department. Unfair, and uneducated management. Working conditions are also poor. Rooms are either hot, or cold, never comfortable. Many injuries occur due to lack of help. The overall company is okay, but it all depends on what position you will be working.
Pros
STARTING pay, benefits
Cons
Wages don't increase much, bad work environment, employers don't care about thier employees

Overall Amazing Experience.
Patient Registration Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLDecember 15, 2016
Working at Centra Care is an amazing experience; interacting with patients from all around the world. A typical day involves registering patients at a walk-in facility through phone or direct interview, verifying/obtaining authorizations for insurance, workers comp, corporate accounts, sorting mail, correspondence and forwarding to the proper department/staff member. What I have learned is the ins and outs of the healthcare world, more about insurance, and overall how to be more personable. Management is amazing, always there when you need them, as well as my co-workers, extremely supportive. The hardest part of the job would be language barriers. Many patients are from different parts of the world and communication can be a bit challenging. The most enjoyable part of my job would be seeing the difference in a patient when they first walk in and when they come out, knowing that they had gotten quality care and we have done everything we could to better put them at ease.
Pros
Knowledge of healthcare
Cons
Sometimes long hours

Former nurse (Former Employee) –  St. Cloud, MNNovember 2, 2016

Very deceiving company to work for
Other (Former Employee) –  Saint Cloud, MNOctober 11, 2016
On the surface this seems like a good organization but shortly after working there that perception was completely wrong. Management is terrible! Very unorganized and horrible communication. Management only is in it for themselves and uses their employees for their own benefit. Drama between co-workers and departments is worse than junior high. What makes it worse is management is also involved in the drama and two-faced tactics. Co-workers are allowed to be rude and disrespectful without consequences. Patient care staff will talk badly about patients to co-workers and make jokes about patients with mental health issues. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I will recommend patients to find other care outside CentraCare.
Pros
NONE
Cons
12 hour shifts with no breaks some days, huge turnover, mandated shifts when management doesn't pick up the slack

All about money, not their employees
Medical Receptionist (Former Employee) –  St. Cloud, MNOctober 4, 2016
They do not care about employees safety, only money. Downgraded to the cheapest supplies and equipment. Don't expect to be recognized for doing a good job. Also they will do anything to prevent a lawsuit including hiring non-English speaking medical professionals and do not fire them even though they can't do the job.
Pros
Dedicated coworkers for the most part
Cons
Everything stated above

Ghost administrator
Former CSA (Former Employee) –  MinnesotaSeptember 29, 2016
The Administrator to the clinic was never around. Schedules were always a mess and holidays were always a give in as to who would get them off... mgmt played favorites. It seemed like management would drive out the employees with exceptional customer service which is beyond necessary in healthcare.
Pros
A few good co-workers, benefits
Cons
Poor management

It is a good job if you want extra cash. It usually takes about three hours and you get ten hours a week and ever other week pay. Not a hard job at all.

Small Town Hospital With Family Feel
Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) –  Paynesville, MNAugust 29, 2016
At the Paynesville Hospital, everyone works together, because it is a small critical access hospital. You get to develop a skill set in many areas of healthcare and work closely with people from all departments. Downfall is that just like most other healthcare facilities, most of its employees are female which can be tough at times. There can be quite a bit of drama at times, and favoritism by management. Overall it is a decent place to work, and an awesome place to learn.
Pros
Small town feel, good co-workers for the most part
Cons
Management could use some reality checks
