CFBHN is a not for profit 501 (c)(3) community services network incorporated in 1997 as a collaboration of substance abuse providers in Hillsborough County. The CFBHN Network now has 24 mental health and substance abuse providers in nine counties in the Tampa Bay area and across central Florida providing publicly funded behavioral health services. Starting in 2005 an additional 275 faith and community based providers offer Access to Recovery services through a federal grant from the President's Faith Based Initiative. As of 2006 CFBHN and the Polk County Health Plan entered into contract for the provision of behavioral services in Polk County. Overall, more than 35,000 adults and children are served each year by the CFBHN Network.
CFBHN's Network strives to maximize revenues and improve access to services, as well as the quality of those services, provided by both the individual agencies and throughout the system of care.
