On-site Agent (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAOctober 25, 2017
Century Communities was a great company. I just got a Huge income shock when I went from making around $150k annually to $24k annually. I think it was a great Company, but when you are struggling to pay your bills and provide for your family it makes it hard to focus on anything else. Customers, meetings, and etc. You are just trying to make a basic living.

The guy who I transition into his role who was leaving, said management was horrible and that's why he was leaving. I hoped that he was wrong, but he wasn't.

OFFICE ASSISTANT (Former Employee) –  League City, TXAugust 1, 2017
I only worked for Century Communities two days a week as the hostess, to greet prospective home buyers on the sales manager's day off. However, I did notice the company had a very high turnover rate.

A fast paced highly stressful job with very little compensation for your hard work. The field guys are fun to work with but the upper management sets you up for failure.

Community Manager (Former Employee) –  Denver, COJuly 15, 2015
I worked for this company for 5 years because of golden handcuffs. This is the most unethical company I have ever worked for. The owners are awful and the company treats their employees and customers like trash. RUN AWAY!!

Company In Transition
Community Manager (Superintendent) (Current Employee) –  Denver ColoradoJune 4, 2015
Growing, changing, improving in many ways.
While Century Communities has a poor reputation in this area they are striving to improve.
It's a difficult place to work, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
The expectations from upper management are not in line with market conditions, but some the newer managers are very competent and things seem to be improving.
Pros
new home designs, beautiful homes
Cons
lack of support, tendency to blame the boots on the ground.

Superintendent (Former Employee) –  Denver, COSeptember 5, 2013
After one year at the company I was the senior construction person on job. The managers set goals that were unachievable and undermined all athority in the field. Created an adversarial position with local municipalities and business partners. The only positive is their passion for owner satisfaction.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Abusive management style.
