Nice place to work, just don't necessarily unpack
Facilities Coordinator (Former Employee) – Deerfield, IL – March 6, 2017
The office environment was largely pleasant; the people there were excellent to work with, people would talk to each other regularly, and events would occur with a fairly regular basis that people could partake in, providing free food and snacks. The cafeteria attached between several of the buildings was excellent, and the office provided a healthy discount there, making it extremely reasonable.
However, the corporate culture towards temps and contractors was somewhat less pleasant; contractors were normally formally barred from the events (even if not entirely excluded from things like food), and a 48 hour notice was normal when letting contractors go. While this might be normal for a contractor position, it was without any formal notice beforehand, meaning I had to scramble at the last second to find more work. This was particularly inconvienent, as I was on month six of an initially two month contract, and from everything I had seen it looked more like it was going to be permenant than anything else.
Free parking, healthy office environment, excellent cafeteria
Corporate attitude towards contractors, short notice when contract ended
