When customers asked about offshore production, our first step was to develop key partnerships with suppliers in China and Taiwan and offer customized domestic and offshore pricing packages primarily for delivery to North America. In 2008 we opened a new International Division to oversee and develop new worldwide opportunities for our customers outside of North America. Headquartered in Hong Kong the new division has a Customer Service Center and a Manufacturing Operation in China. We add value in many other ways. We don't just produce parts for customers. We deliver critical sub-assemblies which may include extras like welding, and 100% testing. Our ability to hire skilled labor and provide ongoing training results in experienced employees who understand the value of a "can do" approach to business.
We "walk the quality walk". Our company quality policy and ISO 9001: 2008 certification for our domestic and Far Eastern manufacturing facilities and AS 9100 Certification-U.S. are symbols of our commitment. But we're not content. We are regularly utilizing Six Sigma tools, lean manufacturing events, and statistical quality control to achieve continuous quality improvement for our customers.
