Summary of Position: Describe the major objective of this position:
Main function is to recruit, coordinate and schedule volunteers for the Meal program, Family Resource Center and place other volunteers in the Chapman Partnership where needed including fundraising events. Assist in the coordination of the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon and Annual Volunteer Meet & Greet. Also give tours to volunteer groups.
Maintain schedule of churches, synagogues, organizations, and individuals for the Meal
Program. Prepare and maintain the Meal program report including invoicing payments.
Recruit, screen, schedule, maintain hours and
build relationships with volunteers - meal, worship,
individuals, groups, FRC activities. Manage groups
such as schools, Work Force, probation officers.
Coordinate/schedule yearly and holiday events
for the residents.
Coordinate Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon,
Annual Meet & Great and support tour program.
Maintains Chapman Partnership Mailing List (all volunteers, donors) etc.
Other duties assigned as necessary in support of Development
Department and Center needs.
Knowledge of Skill Requirement:
a) Knowledge of: MS Office, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, etc. Volunteer/Orientation manual and applicable procedures, familiarity of current residents, knowledge of Chapman Partnership infrastructure and how it interacts with the Trust, Board and all community partners.
b) Kind and length of experience:
Minimum of three (3) years experience with volunteers.
c) Skills required:
Computer literate; bilingual English and Spanish; type 50 wpm; good verbal and written skills; organizational skills a must; able to multi-task.
d) Traits required: Team oriented, flexible, excellent interpersonal abilities, patience for dealing with residents, confidentiality.
e) Education required: Associates degree or equivalent experience.
